Exit this by using the FILE menu, don't close the window or setup
will be terminated and you will have to reinitiate the install process.

IMPORTANT: IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT YOU UNINSTALL YOUR
PREVIOUS VERSION BEFORE INSTALLING THIS ONE. IF YOU HAVE NOT
UNINSTALLED YOUR PREVIOUS VERSION, DO SO BY CLICKING THE EXIT INSTALL
BUTTON WHEN THE INSTALLER STARTS, RE-RUN SETUPCW.EXE AND SELECT THE
UNINSTALL OPTION. THEN RUN SETUPCW.EXE AGAIN AND PROCEED AS YOU
NORMALLY WOULD. SORRY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCES THIS MAY CAUSE, BUT
SOME OF THE UPDATES WONT TAKE EFFECT UNLESS THIS PROCEDURE IS
FOLLOWED.

During installation, if SETUPCW.EXE hangs at the point
where it says "CleanWin Setup is running module 2" then go
back to the CleanWin web page and look for the CLEANWIN.EXE
version of the download.

This is the shareware version of KMCS CleanWin. You may use it
for a period of 30 days or 90 uses to decide whether it meets your needs.
If you continue to use it, please register (pay for) it. CleanWin will
expire after 90 uses, and then non-destructivly disable itself. If you
register it after expiration, you wont need to reinstall it again. You may
contact KMCS directly through email at velocity8@juno.com or on the web
at "http://members.xoom.com/kmcs".

To install CleanWin:
If you downloaded the SETUPCW.EXE version, simply run SETUPCW in an
empty folder or drive. DO NOT NAME THE FOLDER C:\CLEANWIN. This is
the folder that CleanWin is installed to and run from! If you downloaded
the CLEANWIN.EXE version, run CLEANWIN.EXE in an empty directory, then run
the SETUP program.

To remove CleanWin:
If you downloaded SETUPCW.EXE, run the program again and select R
to remove CleanWin's folder, files and entries to AUTOEXEC.BAT.
If you downloaded the CLEANWIN.EXE version, you must manually remove
the C:\CLEANWIN folder and remove the "CLEANWIN EXECUTE" and
"CD\CLEANWIN" entries from your AUTOEXEC.BAT.

If you want to continue to use CleanWin, it costs $10. Email KMCS for
information on registration, or see the CleanWin web page located at
"http://members.xoom.com/kmcs/AUTODOS.HTM" for more information.
Registration is instant, meaning you will get a code to remove the
reminders from the software and the 90 use limit. Current and future
versions up to 2.0 can be registered using the same code. There will
be periodic updates including fixes and new features available. If
CleanWin undergoes a major revision, the number is increased by one. If
CleanWin undergoes a minor revision, the number is increased by .1. If
CleanWin undergoes a minor addition/bug fix, it is increased by .01.

DISCLAIMER:
KMCS places no warranty of any kind on this software. You use it at
your own risk. This software has been tested on Win95/98 only, and was
only designed to work on these two platforms. If you discover what might
be a bug, please contact KMCS so that it may be fixed. If you are a
registered user, you may receive additional help through email from KMCS.

The only known problems/warnings/notes with CleanWin are:
- If you installed Netscape to another drive, the cache may not be cleared
unless you specify where Netscape is in the script file.
- If you type a folder in the script area, CleanWin will delete
everything the next time your system starts, so double check your typing.
- On certain Aptivas with Win98 the recent documents may not be cleared.
- Any placement of cache files, swap files, etc. that are not a default
setting with Windows will not be cleared. You can place these folders
in the CleanWin script if they are different.
- Certain buttons may appear red all the time, this is because in cases
like with the swap file, it is re-created whenever Windows starts.
- If your entry in the CleanWin script is less then 3 characters in length,
it will be ignored. This is to prevent the C: drive from being deleted
completely. What this means for you is safety with the script file, but
you can't have a single drive cleared, like a temp partition.
- If for some reason you are stuck in the CleanWin GUI without a mouse,
press Q to exit. If the mouse refuses to work, you must add MOUSE.COM
  to your AUTOEXEC.BAT file.

Please, keep sending in suggestions for additions to CleanWin, most are
accepted and coded within a day or two. If you want credit in this file
to your name, tell us so! And as always, support software developers who
make low-cost shareware by registering the software that you use.
