THE AUTHOR

Hi, my name is Jeremy Parkinson. I am an 18 year old, soon-to-be high
school graduate. I have had an interest in programming for quite a while
but I never knew the means of starting to write programs. I spend a lot
of time on IRC, while there I met Mark, http://www.breezin.net who helped
me get started. After I started VB 5 for the first time, I thought that
there was no way I was going to be able to get anything done, especially
without manual, or book to help me along. I kept playing around with it
and one day, things started to click. I got writing, after a couple of
months of casual work I came up with Batch Renamer. Now, with a tiny bit
of experience, I plan to keep program, hopefully advancing with time.

BATCH RENAMER

Batch Renamer is my first program ever. I am proud of it right now, and
I plan to keep developing it and adding more things to it. The idea behind
it is that after a long day of running my FTP, I had many files that I had
to sort through. There was no way for me to sort them all in one day, so
I wanted to name them all "Unsorted##.ext" and there was no fast way to do
this. I looked around at software sites and found a few programs, but I
didnt quite like the way they looked. So, when I got VB5, I started writing
one for myself.
