FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is WaveTag?
A: WaveTag is a new freeware program that allows you to 'tag' a line
of text into a wave file without corrupting the audio.

Q: What use is WaveTag to me?
A: Well, it can be used for...
   Catalogging
   Notes
   Password Storage
   Hiding information

Q: What do I need to run WaveTag?
A: You'll need Windows 95, VB5 runtimes, some wave files, and some
audio hardware so you can hear those wave files!

Q: Do I need to register WaveTag?
A: As of now, no. I don't like to make first releases shareware.
However, if you like WaveTag, or if it's used for commerical
purposes, a donation of $5 USD would be nice, and will ensure your
registration into ALL future releases of this product.

Q: I have a great idea for WaveTag. Where can I send it?
A: Please send all "great ideas" to CyberNexxus@HotMail.Com

Q: Where can I send emails saying how great WaveTag is?
A: Angie.Mark@Ns.Sympatico.Ca - or choose About in WaveTag to have that
copied onto your clipboard for you.

Using WaveTag Browser

WaveTag Browser adds the functionality of the Windows Explorer to WaveTag. Well, almost. The
interface bears an uncanny resemblence to that of the Windows Explorer. Highlight a file from
the pane on the left and see it's properties (filename, file size in bytes, tag, and tag version)
displayed at the bottom of the screen.
Double-click to play the file (it actually starts SndRec32 as the explorer would, but it hides it
so you cannot tell). Hold down shift when doing this to open the file in SndRec32 without hiding
it or automatically playing it. The same applies for clicking the Open File button.

Thanks to FlashByte for the cool OCX.
