FIXED BUGS
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

* Password Corral May Fail to Minimize

Version 3.3.0.41 thru v3.4.0.56 could fail to minimize, either to
the taskbar of the system tray. The problem occurred by right-clicking on
Password Corral's icon while in the system tray, then left clicking on the icon
to restore the program. Doing this could prevent it from being minimized again
until the program was restarted.

This bug was fixed as of version 3.4.1.75.

* Options dialog won't save settings and displays improperly

Version 2.0.1.4 thru v3.0.0.7 RC1 would display the Options dialog window
incorrectly if the PC running Password Corral was set to use large system
fonts. The 'Done' and 'Cancel' buttons were hidden from view, preventing you
from saving changed settings. The browse button for the Auto-Export feature
was also hidden from view.

This bug was fixed as of version 3.0.0.8 RC2. The easiest way to fix this
problem is to simply upgrade to the latest release. Alternately you can
temporarily change your PC to use small fonts (from the Display Control Panel),
open the Password Corral Options dialog (which should now display correctly),
and make the necessary setting changes.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* Resizing the password list to it's minimum size would hide the entire list

Versions 2.0.0.7 thru 2.1.0.14 of Password Corral had a bug that could cover up
the password list with the Notes field and prevent the list from being visible.
The bug occurred when the splitter bar was moved up, shrinking the password list
to it's smallest size. The splitter would snap to the bottom of the tool bar
and it would become impossible to redisplay the password list, even after
restarting the program.

This bug was fixed as of version 2.2.0.16. If you're using a previous version
you can fix this problem in one of two ways. First, if you're using v2.0.0.7 or
later, you can make an export file of your password list, uninstall your
existing setup, reinstall the latest version of Password Corral, and then
import your password list back into the program. Alternately you can edit the
Windows registry and fix the problem manually. Run the REGEDIT.EXE program and
locate the key "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cygnus Productions\Password Corral".
Next, under the Password Corral Key, locate the sub-key with your Password
Corral username and click on it. In the right pane of RegEdit, locate the value
"ListHeight" and change it to "100". Close RegEdit. Your password list should
now be visible again. Make sure you install the latest version of Password
Corral.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* Password Corral Not Year 2000 Compatible

Versions 2.0.4.12 and earlier of Password Corral were not ready for the year
2000 problem. While previous versions should still work, and password
information isn't compromised, password expiration notices won't function
correctly.

This bug was fixed as of version 2.0.5.13. If you're using a date format other
than the standard US format (m/d/yy), the first time you start Password Corral
it will not warn you if any of your passwords have expired and won't update the
number of days till expiration. Understand that this will only happen the first
time you launch v2.0.5.13 or later. Once your registry has been updated to the
new date format that Password Corral uses, future launches of the program will
update and report password expiration information as normal. If you're using a
non-US date format and are having trouble with v2.0.5.13 or later, please
contact us right away.

Because of the complexity of Year 2000 compliance, Cygnus Productions cannot
make any guarantees as to being 100% compliant. We've made every effort to make
sure Password Corral is up to code, but because we rely on other software
vendor's tools to create Password Corral, unforeseen Y2K issues could affect
the program beyond our control. If you have any concerns, please contact us.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* Password Corral Would Not Import Some Password Export Files

Versions 2.0.2.9 and earlier of Password Corral would not properly import a
password export file under certain conditions. Symptoms include early
termination of the import with an error, a complete import with bad data or
restarting Password Corral after an import with an error similar to "xxx is not
a valid integer."

The problem centered around carriage returns in the "Notes" field for each
password. If a carriage return (pressing the ENTER key) was contained in the
"Notes" field for any or all of the passwords in the export file, the import
would not function properly.

This bug was fixed as of version 2.0.3.10. After upgrading to the new version
of Password Corral, generate a new export file. Export files generated with
this new version, and all future versions, will import correctly, whether or
not the "Notes" field has multiple lines. Note that versions 2.0.2.9 and
earlier cannot import these new password export files as the file format has
changed.

There is a workaround if your original install of Password Corral has been
deleted or is no longer functioning due to an import of a faulty export file.

1) Create a backup copy of the faulty export file.
2) Open the export file in Notepad, or any other text editor.
3) Scroll through the file and locate note entries for each of the password
entries. For each entry, make sure all note text appears on a single line.
There should be no carriage returns/blank lines separating the note text.
4) Save the file.
5) Make sure version 2.0.3.10 or later of Password Corral is installed on your
PC. Start Password Corral and create a new user account. Import the
password export file into this new account.

Your password list should now be imported properly and visible to you.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* Username Information Corrupt After Importing a Password Export File

Versions 2.0.2.9 and earlier of Password Corral would corrupt username
information on a import.

The problem occurred when the current master password was different from the
password that was used to generate the password export file.

This bug was fixed as of version 2.0.3.10. Importing a password export file,
even one generated by a previous version, should no longer corrupt username
information if the master password is different from the password that created
the export file.

KNOWN BUGS
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

* All Text in the Notes Field is Underlined

Version 3.4.0.56 introduced new code to allow for FILE:// hyperlinks in the
Notes field with long file names. Unfortunately the new code had a bug which,
under certain circumstances would cause all text in the Notes field to be
underlined as if it were a hyperlink. An immediate fix was unavailable so the
offending code was removed for version 3.4.1.75. A future version will
reintroduce the feature.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

* Windows Fails to Shutdown While Password Corral is Running

Version 3.4.0.56 introduced a new feature to connect to the Cygnus Productions
Web site and check for a more recent version of the program. A bug in the
Internet component of the compiler would prevent Windows from shutting down if
Password Corral was running. This was unfortunately a feature we could not fix,
so the functionality was removed for version 3.4.1.75. A future version will
reintroduce the feature.
