I. Installation

Interpreter was made in Visual Basic which means you need to have the VB6 Runtime files. Your computer will install these when you run SETUP.EXE first. After running setup you will have to restart your computer and run The Interpreter program (CODER.EXE).

II. About the program

You're sitting in a room and your friend/little brother/mom/boss is peering over your shoulder at your Instant Messenger conversation. The Interpreter encodes and decodes secret sentences that you don't want others to see. If you were requesting the password to your FTP server for example, it wouldn't instantly flash onto your computer screen without being encrypted if your friend is using this program. Basically it encodes and decodes sentences for whatever purpose you want.

III. Instructions

Make sure your friends have a copy of the program. When you start the program you get to the 'Select a Channel' screen. Write a secret 'channel' name to ensure privacy for your encryption. For example: "abc123" or "kelly77" or "32425" are all appropriate channel names. Doesn't matter what you make up, but whatever you type will make it IMPOSSIBLE for people not knowing the channel name to decode on a different channel. Get it? Good.

From here it's pretty simple, just type a sentence and tell the program whether to encode or decode and hit the button. The 'result' will automatically be COPIED to the clipboard for easy pasting.

The program is really easy to use, just play around with it and you'll see that it is useful for those times when you don't want your messages exposed to onlookers without your control =)
