This document contains release notes for version 4.01 of Cerberus Evaluation
version for Windows 95*. This version is fully functioning with the exception
that you cannot alter passwords or add new users.


How to Use This Document
===========================================================================
To view README.TXT on screen in Windows Notepad, maximize the Notepad window.

To print README.TXT, open it in Windows Write, Microsoft* Word, or another 
word processor.  Then select the entire document and format the text in 
10-point Courier before printing.

Part 1: Software Installation Information
===========================================================================
IMPORTANT: Cerberus 4.0 will only run on Microsoft Windows 95.

To install Cerberus, run SETUP.EXE as you would any other Windows-based application.

All files are copied to the folder you specfy during installation; no files are
installed to your \Windows or \Windows\System folders.

An uninstaller (cerbdel.exe) is provided to remove Cerberus from your system.


Part 2: Using Cerberus
===========================================================================
Once installed, Cerberus runs automatically when Windows is re-started. 
To change the settings left click on the Cerberus icon in the System tray.
You will be prompted to enter the Administrator's password (the default password
is 'admin'.

Once you have entered the password you will be able to change the settings.

See the help file for detailed information on setting up Cerberus.

Run the program CERBDEL.EXE for automatic removal of Cerberus from your
machine. Use of cerbdel requires entry of the Administrator's password for
Cerberus.
