Canary 1.93
===========
Please read this file, print it, keep it somewhere safe and then delete it from your Windows folder!

Installation
============
In order to install Canary, simply run the INSTALL file contained in the zip file you are now viewing. Please note that Canary cannot be run from the Desktop or from the STARTUP as no shortcuts are made for it (security reasons!). When the installation has completed, you will be asked whether you want to run Canary now - I strongly suggest that you do as you will then be able to set its settings according to what you want.

Note that Canary only runs in Windows 98/98/ME!

Where are the help files I?
===========================
As of version 1.80, Canary no longer has the help files included with the program. This has been done for a number of reasons, two of which are:

- it makes it easier for me to make necessary changes to the help files without having to redistribute the amended Canary files to the shareware/freeware web sites,

- I can make the help files better by including appropriate screen shots.

I see this change as being of benefit to you and to me - I hope that you will agree with me!

Where are the help files II?
============================
The full help files are now found online at http://canary.b3.nu

These help files can be accessed automatically from the menu of Canary, under HELP - make sure to be connected to the Internet first!

What is the password for the evaluation version?
================================================
The password for the evaluation version is "Canary" (case sensitive!).

Registration
============
If you register Canary then you will be able to use whatever password you want instead of the default one mentioned above. Please note that the registration is FREE and that I will treat your registration details with the utmost confidentiality - I take your privacy very seriously!!! To be taken to the registration page on the Internet, use the Canary menu under HELP. I usually process your registration within 1-2 days (I work full time and do this in my spare time :-) ).

Terms and conditions
====================
Make sure to head over to the Canary web site to read the terms and conditions for the use of Canary http://canary.b3.nu

Unanswered e-mail
=================
Please note that I always reply to all my e-mail messages - usually within 24 hours! If you find that you have not heard from me within four or five days of sending me your e-mail, then please check the message board for a message from me to you - I may be trying to get in touch with you through there! The message board is available from the menu at my web site.

What I sometimes find is that the e-mail address given me doesn't work. Since I then can't get in touch with you, I will place a message on the message board alerting you to the fact that the e-mail address you sent me doesn't work. It will then be up to you to decide what you want to do.
