Introduction
============

Tinra GUI provides a simple GUI (Graphical User Interface) front-end for TINRA - the RealMedia to Windows AVI converter gifted to us all by ZT!

Tinra GUI has browse buttons allowing interactive selection of the source RealMedia file to convert and the path and filename of the AVI to create.

TinraGUI provides full batch support complete with the ability to save your work and resume at a later time.

For users who prefer Explorer shell integration, TINRA GUI can create a "Convert to AVI" option on the context menu that appears when you right click on a .rm file. (also .ra and .ram)

Installation Tips
=================

Tinra GUI doesn't really need any special installation, just put the file where you want it to reside and run it.

BUT, Tinra GUI will create support files in the same directory where it is run. It also records it's location in the registry if/when you choose to install the Explorer shell extension. For this reason, you should ensure that you place tinragui.exe in the place you want to leave it BEFORE you run it for the first time.

If you want to install the Explorer shell extension, but you didn't install it the first time you ran TinraGUI, you can still install it. Just delete the "tinragui.ini" file from the same directory where you placed "tinragui.exe". The next time you run Tinra GUI, you will be prompted to install it.

Tinra GUI requires that TINRA and RealPlayer both be installed on your system before it will work. If you place "tinragui.exe" in a different folder than the folder containing "TINRA.EXE", you will need to specify the location of "TINRA.EXE" when you first run Tinra GUI.

Uninstalling or relocating TinraGUI
===================================

Running TinraGUI followed by a "/u" (without the quotes) will allow you to uninstall the registry entries created if you installed the "Convert to AVI" explorer shell extension. This is handy in case you want to put TinraGUI in a new place; you can uninstall the registry entries, delete the tinragui.ini file and the wbdbv32i.dll (spawned by the tinragui.exe file), and then move tinragui.exe to a new location, run it and reinstall the shell extensions.

ie. c:\tinra\tinragui.exe /u

Of course you can also use this option to remove TinraGUI from your system, but why would you want to do that? ;-)
