Welcome to XCALC!

Installation:

I have selected not to waste time and space with an installation routine for
XCALC. This is because such a thing would occupy about a megabyte of
useless space, and also because XCALC runs without any settings needed.
Simply copy XCALC.EXE and XCALC.CHM into a directory of your choice,
possibly create a shortcut to it, and you're done.

Note: you may want to set another working directory for XCALC in your
shortcut. The files XCALC.INI and XCALC.DAT will then be written there
(useful if the executable and help files are stored on read-only media).

NOTE FOR WINDOWS VISTA (and XP SP3?) USERS:

Due to added "security" in vista, you will most likely have to "unblock"
the XCALC.chm file to receive online help. To do this, right-click on
XCALC.chm and select Properties. Under the General tab, click "Unblock".
Vista blocks this file by default, probably because it contains (harmless)
JavaScript code. This code is simply what makes a popup appear when you click a
"dotted-underline" link in the help system, and also some handy functions
to maintain version numbers, mail and web links etc.

Enjoy!
