ABOUT OPASTBLE:

OPASTBLE is a computer assisted circuit design program for the design
of active lowpass filters using an opamp as the active device. There are
many circuits in electronics that are a standard configuration. The only
difference is the component values, which are variable depending on what
is required of the circuit. Knowledge of the many electronic math
formulas are required to get the component values right for the desired
output of these standard circuit configurations. It can take hours,
days, even weeks of plugging numbers into these formulas to get the right
component values. Then the component values have to be rounded to the
standard values available on the market. Sometimes a prototype of the
circuit must be built (especially if all the formulas are not known) and
then troubleshot to get the right component values. OPASTBLE eliminates
all these problems. OPASTBLE does all the head work, knows all the
formulas, and selects component values that are available on the market.
The electronics hobbyist's dream come true!

Installation:

Unzip the file OPASTBLE.zip to a temporary directory. Create a directory
named OPASTBLE on the c:\ drive and copy or move all files to that
directory. NOTE: OPASTBLE must be installed on the c: drive because it
calls data files from the c:\ drive.

OPERATING FROM DOS:

OPASTBLE is a DOS program. In the directory OPASTBLE find the file
OPASTBLE.BAT and move the file to the root directory (c:\). All that is
required to start the program is type OPASTBLE at the DOS prompt. If you
don't want this batch file in your root directory add OPASTBLE to the
path statement in your autoexec.bat. Again you will then just type
   OPASTBLE at the DOS prompt.

OPERATING FROM WINDOWS 3.xx:

In the OPASTBLE directory there is a file named OPASTBLE.ICO.
   OPASTBLE.ICO is the program icon.

SETTING UP IN WINDOWS:
   (1) Open the program group in program manager that you want to run
       OPASTBLE from.
   (2) Select File-New-Program Item.
   (3) In the program name box type OPASTBLE(what ever you want to name it).
   (4) In the command line box type C:\OPASTBLE\OPASTBLE.EXE
   (5) In the working directory box type C:\OPASTBLE
   (6) Select change icon button then the browse button. Go to the OPASTBLE
directory then select OPASTBLE.ICO. Click OK.
   (7) Double click the icon to run the program.

OPERATING FROM WINDOWS 95:

When running OPASTBLE in Windows 95 it must be run in a DOS session.
Otherwise it runs exactly the same as it does in DOS, and Windows 3.xx.

USING OPASTBLE:

THESE CIRCUITS ARE NOT FOR USE IN LIFE SUPPORT OR LIFE CRITICAL SYSTEMS
Do not use the tab key. It will run the cursor and the blue input line
across the screen. There's no print, save, or mouse features with this
program. This is the reason the program is only $10.00.
There is no on line help in OPASTBLE. All necessary information for
operation is on screen. If an out of range, or improper value is entered
the program will advise the user, and start that particular input request
   over again.
Because there are so many possible outcomes from these circuits it
is impossible to build and test the circuits. The formulas used in
calculating these circuits are proven electronic math formulas.

SHAREWARE COST:

This software is shareware. You can evaluate it for 30 days then
you must pay for it, or stop using it. This shareware incorporates a
time lock and will stop functioning after 30 days from the time of
installation. Upon payment of $10.00(US) you will be sent the version of
OPASTBLE with out the time lock. The registered version can be sent to
you by e-mail attachment (the preferred method) or by disk in the mail.
Please add $2.00 shipping and handling if you require a disk in the mail.
