About Metronome v.1.0 for Windows 95

Author: Tino Johannesson, Hassleholm, Sweden

This is a computerized metronome. It play ticks either on the
internal PC-speaker or on the computer sound card, and shows
the ticks on screen.

It is free to copy, as long as this textfile is bundled with it,
and to use for private users. If you want to sell it in any form,
for example bundled in a software package, please contact me.

If you like the program and wants to support me in my programming
efforts you may send $5 (or any amount you want) to the address
below. You may also use this address, or E-mail, for bug reports.

Q&A

1:Q Why is this simple program so large?

A The new programming tools (in this case Borland Delphi 2.0)
makes a lot of overhead code for small programs. Take it or
    leave it.

2:Q Can I change the boring tick sound that comes with the program?

A Yes, record or copy a sound you like and put it in the same
directory as the program. Name it metro.wav. Remember to make
it short, especially for use with higher BPM:s.

3:Q Is the timing accurate?

A I think it is accurate enough for most users. However, it
depends on your computer and what is happening in it, what
programs you run and so on. The program uses a thread for the
ticks with priority set to normal. If higher priorities are
used the computer may respond sluggishly to other programs.

If you have any questions, or ideas of what you want to see in
future versions, don't hesitate to contact me with your
requirements.
