 --- Log-EQF Version 8 ---------------- Copyright (C) N3EQF 1989-1998 ----

 --- Version 8.66 --- 01/21/98

Eliminated the new "page eject" after hitting <F1> to print, if you print
 1-across (continuous) label types.

Moved "2WAY:" on 3-across QSL labels left 2 spaces to avoid overwriting
part of date. Again, caused by changes in V8.64.

 --- Version 8.65 --- 01/19/98

Fixed problems I created in V8.64, with form feeds while printing.

 --- Version 8.64 --- 01/18/98

Changed logic for printing, so that nothing is sent to the printer until
you hit <F1> on the MAIN MENU. All print jobs are now sent to a disk file
until printing is done, then the disk file is automatically deleted. This
was necessary to overcome problems with new "smarter" printers for Windows.

Revised 3-across QSL label format so time is now in hh:mm form, to provide
 more room for frequency.

Open device for LPT1 or LPT2 if either port is used for Keyer or External
control. DOS/Windows 3.1 apparantly will not recognize the port unless it
 is opened first.

Revised FT-980.RIG to correct mode codes.

01/04/98 --- Worked more on DUPE-EQF module for problems counting new
 multipliers under some conditions.

 --- Version 8.63 --- 12/28/97

Worked on problem where COUNTRY from previous EDIT operation would be used
 for successive QSOs.

Cosmetic correction to "<F3> EDIT" display menu.

Allow trailing spaces as part of a search pattern.

 --- Version 8.62 --- 12/16/97

Fixed problems in EDIT I created in V8.61.

Improved logbook naming logic in contest operation.

Added 4K1AD? and 4K1GD? to prefix library, for VP8/SH South Shetland.
Added Y88PO? and VP8AN? to prefix library, for CE9 Antarctica.

 --- Version 8.61 --- 12/13/97

Further work on cluster spotting reliability (ERROR 63).

Change to DX-EQF module (V3.88) so DXCC records are rebuilt first time
Registered User version is run. (Creates file DXCC.REC).

Added default reports for TRACK and INFO fields. These are entered on
the SETUP screen where the SENT, RCVD, and POWER defaults are set.

 12/06/97 Recompiled V8.60 LOG-EQF.EXE module as 12/04/97 release had a
problem with report of wrong countries' QSL status at bottom of screen
when a cluster spot was reported.

Also corrected INFO and TRACK field import/export logic for comma-delimited
 ASCII files in module File-EQF.

 --- Version 8.60 --- 12/04/97

Corrected display problem with MANUAL logging times.

Worked on intermitent problem with DXCC lookup from DX cluster spots.

Corrected errors for some QRZ CD callsign lookups.

Added a new 3-across label format for 70 x 35 mm. Not yet documented.

 --- Version 8.59 --- 11/24/97

Updated DXCC prefixes UT, UY, and UX to be Ukraine.

Added DXCC prefix ZG2 for Gibraltar.

Includes new 1998 Radio Amateur Callbook TSR called DOSLOGAC.EXE. Older
versions of this TSR won't work with the new CD.

Fixed problem with contest multiplier counting. If multiplier field on
any QSO were blank, it would be counted as a multiplier before this.

Improved performance of PacketCluster(tm) spotting. Now responds to any
SHOW/DX commands and properly interprets more ambiguous prefixes than
 before.

Limit number of PacketCluster(tm) spots saved to disk to 32,000 spots.
When restarting Log-EQF after that number of spots, the spot disk file
will be cleared. This prevents overflow problem that occured when file
 size exceeded 32,767 spots.

Expand number of digits retained for PacketCluster(tm) spots so that
UHF spots will work correctly. Note that spots saved to disk prior to
this version can be displayed, but the rig won't be set to the spot
frequency if you recall one of those prior spots.

Fixed problem with display of band segment and antenna switch when switching
from one window function to another.

Changed zone of PJ/SA prefix to 09 instead of 08.

 11/01/97 - Added P29 prefix to P2 Papua New Guinea. (PREFIX.LIB)

 --- Version 8.58 --- 09/24/97

Added VK1XX_ as North Cook to PREFIX.LIB

Fixed a problem with UNIQUE SEARCH when blank fields were encountered.

Fixed some problems with the PacketCluster for VHF and UHF frequencies.

Opened up AMSOFT CD search for non-US callsigns.

 - 09/09/97

Added BX prefix for Taiwan and VR79 prefix for Hong Kong in PREFIX.LIB.
Also added 3D2RW to 3D2/F Fiji.

 --- Version 8.57 --- 09/01/97

Fixed problem with skipping over labels properly when printing only
 address labels.

 --- Version 8.56 --- 08/17/97

Fixed a glitch I caused in V8.55 where default signal reports were ignored.

Trim trailing spaces away from lines to be printed on QSL labels, so 80-
column printers will be OK with wider left margins.

 --- Version 8.55 --- 08/13/97

Minor revision to WAS-EQF module for creation of backup WAS records.

Added TABULAR ASCII output file format to File-EQF Import/Export utility.
Can now create a tabular ASCII data file from any Log-EQF logbook,
extracting and re-ordering log fields as desired.

Added support for the internet DX Cluster program, DXTelnet for Windows.
This program, written by IK4VYX, is great for monitoring and announcing
DX spots via the internet! You can download a shareware copy of DXTelnet
from http://home.sprynet.com/sprynet/wd4ngb. From DXTelnet, go to the
CONFIGURATION menu, LINKS, and set the directory to the one where Log-EQF
is installed. Log-EQF will then capture and display all spots that
DXTelnet grabs from the internet! TNX to IK4VYX for his support and help
 with this feature.

Add exception code for the Yaesu FT-980. Note the old FT-767.RIG file was
replaced with a new one as both rigs share similar CAT characteristics.

Updated PREFIX.LIB: ZB0 prefix added to ZB2, CR5 prefix added to CT, 4K
prefix added to 4J, VK0TS & VK0WH added to VK0/M, DM prefix added to DA-DM,
added VX9A to CY0/S, HM prefix to HL, H4 prefix to VR4, S7 prefix to VQ9,
 H31 to HP, VP2SP to J8, KG6RL to KH0, and SV0WE prefix to SV9... many other
 prefixes updated also.

Corrected problems when no rig was connected and the options for setting
mode based on signal report, and setting of default signal reports were
 selected.

Refined logic on CW KEYER screen so that when a memory key is hit, memory
isn't output until after text buffer is empty.

Changed the popup window for setting frequency when band is in question, so
 "OTHER:" is the default.

Fixed some problems in WAZ routine due to recent changes in PREFIX.LIB.

 --- Version 8.54 --- 07/11/97

Correct problems with the display of "LAST QSO" at top of some screens.

 --- Version 8.53 --- 07/08/97

Add "PKT" to digital modes in scoring/duping module DUPE-EQF.

Add clear of reports SENT and RCVD when user answers "Y" to prompt to
"CLEAR OLD INFO?" on logging screen. Also guard against clearing STATE
or COUNTRY fields when user answers "N".

Rig interface now ignores CTS line. (Caused more trouble than it's worth).

Delete "RUN" text from first two items on the ACCESSORIES menu display.

Remove the "<F11> WORK..." function when packetcluster spots are cleared.

Changed logbook name logic so when switching between contest and normal,
the default log is used, but log name doesn't switch when in contest and
you return to the LOGBOOK SELECTION menu.

 --- Version 8.52 --- 06/05/97

Change to SEARCH when looking for UNIQUE occurances only; to accomodate
 larger logs.

Fixed a problem with update of mode display on logging screen when a rig
 was not in use.

Change to DXCC lookup prompts on logging screen for multiple possibilities
of country prefix. Prevents unnecessary prompts.

Slight change to format for 3-across labels, to limit frequency to 7 digits
 instead of 8.

 Worked on File-EQF conversions.

 --- Version 8.51 --- 05/25/97

Fix bug in V8.50 that caused nuisance "CLEAR OLD INFO" prompt when no old
info was present, in CONTEST mode for those contests with a SERIAL NUMBER!

Fix bug in V8.50 that caused auto MODE select to not display until cursor
passed thru MODE field on logging screen.

Slight change to TNC MACRO routine, so for a macro with no imbedded <CR>
at end of line, macro contents get pulled into the transmit buffer only
instead of being sent immediately to the TNC.

 --- Version 8.50 --- May 1997

Add support for CQ WAZ award. Use <Alt-Z> key on logging screen.

Add support for the new Amateur Data Interchange Format (ADIF) for import
and export of logs between various applications. Also added more logbook
 formats to File-EQF utility.

Eliminate the 15-spot limit for the PacketCluster(tm), and add filters so
you can see only spots for certain bands/modes, or only spots for countries
 you need.

Added setup for callsign databases on the SETUP menu, so you don't have to
run INSTALL again if you change brands of CD you use with Log-EQF.

"FSK" is now "RTTY" in the BANDPLAN.DAT file, and Log-EQF will allow you
to set a rig to any desired mode when RTTY, or PKT, or FSK, is entered into
the MODE field of the logbook.

You can now print ADDRESS LABELS by themselves, without having to also
 print QSL labels.

 --- Version 8.41 April 9, 1997

Undid the change I made in V8.39 for the RIG DTR line, since Kenwood
 IF232C uses DTR.

 --- Version 8.40 March 30, 1997

Made a minor change to QSL LABEL print routine, so that carriage-
return line-feed combinations are always separated by spaces. Some
printers and/or drivers translate this into a form-feed action.

Prevent recursive call under some conditions for TNC.

 --- Feb 20, 1997. New IOTA.TBL file donated by KC3RT. TNX Gene de N3EQF!

 --- Version 8.39 January 12, 1997

Clear time logged on Manual logging screen if you switch to Auto logging
screen without first entering a callsign.

Clear the DTR line on the rig's COM port always, even if CW keyer is not
configured for rig port. No rigs use the DTR line so this will prevent
keying the CW line by accident if SETUP isn't configured for the keyer.

Change WAS and DXCC utilities so that AUTO UPDATE will pickup any QSO's
that have their QSL STATUS changed from "P" to a SENT status code.

 --- Version 8.38 January 1, 1997 ---

More rig COM port changes to improve operation with Icom rigs.

Attempted to fix frequency setting problem with 144 & 440 MHz on FT-767.

Added new QSL STATUS code "-" to mark INVALID QSO. A QSO marked with the
minus sign will be ignored by WAS and DXCC utilities.
