1. PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAM

Basics of Space Flight for Windows
Demo Vesion - October 1997
For Windows 3.x and Windows 95

A space flight tutorial, in Windows helpfile
format, using the NASA/JPL public domain
document called "Basics of Space Flight"
for the text and illustrations. This program
makes the NASA/JPL document more useable by
providing hypertext links, a nested table
of contents, "hotkey" glossary, fully
searchable index, popup answers in the review
sections in each chapter, and hypertext links
to illustrations for various spacecraft.

The demo version includes an uninstall program.

The program requires Windows 3.1, a 386 processor
4 MB of ram and a VGA monitor and a minimum
16 color setting.

In this demo version, of the three main sections, 
two are not accessible. All other features 
function. A full version can be downloaded from 
our website (a password will be required to open 
it) or ordered by mail (see the file Order.txt for
instructions on both purchase options).

2. INSTALLATION

After the downloaded file is unzipped, double click the 
file: Install.exe. After the program is installed, either 
delete all the files in the the subdirectory in which 
the ZIP file Bsfdem10.zip was opened, or save the 
installation files to a floppy or subdiretory for later 
reinstallation.

RUNNING THE PROGRAM IN WINDOWS 95:

To run the program, go to START>PROGRAMS>SPACE FLIGHT 
DEMO>SPACE FLIGHT DEMO. After the program is installed, 
you can create a short-cut to it in Explorer and place 
the shortcut on the Desktop. This icon can then be used 
to run the program. 

To remove the program from your computer, run the uninstall 
program, accessible through START>PROGRAMS>SPACE FLIGHT 
DEMO>UINSTALL. 

The Quickstart selection on the Table of Contents page has 
basic instructions on using the program. Click the icon to 
the left of Quickstart to access the page.


RUNNING THE PROGRAM IN WINDOWS 3.X:

To run the program, go to PROGRAM MANAGER, double-click the 
"Space Flight Demo" group, then double-click the Icon labeled 
"Space Flight Demo." 

To remove the program from your computer, run the uninstall 
program, accessible through the Uninstall icon in the same group. 

The Quickstart selection on the Table of Contents page has basic 
instructions on using the program. Click the icon to the left of 
Quickstart to access the page.

3. STATUS OF PROGRAM

This a demo. All features function the same as in the full version. 
Of the 17 chapters in the full version, the demo has 7.
