1. Introduction

Binary files such as MP3s are often downloaded incorrectly using Netscape Navigator and become 'cooked' during file
transfer. Cooked MP3s sound warbly when played and sometimes cannot be played at all.

OK Uncooker is a file uncooking utility which cleans up MP3s, VQFs RAs etc. It does the same job as Uncook95 but with a
nice user interface. It supports drag 'n' drop and is designed to make batch job uncooking as easy as possible.

OK Uncooker is completely free and distribution is strongly encouraged.

If you use this program regularly it is strongly recommended that you buy a copy of OK Computer by Radiohead.

Requires Windows 9x/NT.

2. What's new?

20/6/99 Version 1.02

* Progress bar - indicates how many of the files in the batch have been processed
* Skip non-cooked files - added file safety with the option to skip files which do not appear to be cooked

13/6/99 Version 1.01a

* Bug fix - fixed additional byte problem for files whose sizes are multiples of the buffer size

8/6/99 Version 1.01

* Larger file buffer for faster file access
* Minimise button added to main dialog box

27/5/99

* OK Uncooker version 1.0 released.

3. Future ideas

* Option to cancel uncooking during a batch job

Does anyone know an easy way of handling the above with the MFC? I just want to check to see if a cancel button has been
clicked, can I use PeekMessage easily for this job?
