Theremon's iNetToolz - LogRight
Version 1.0b (Maintenance Release)

Readme.

Thank you for downloading LogRight (I hope you did use GetRight to do it!).
LogRight is a log analyzer for Headlight's GetRight app. It was created 'cause I got fed up losing various download URLs and then having to search huuuuge amounts of almost-unformatted text that lurks in your GetRight log.
As you can understand, LogRight needs GetRight to operate (you can find GetRight at Headlight Software's website: http://www.getright.com or http://www.headlight.com). It is of real use if you (like me) use one log file for all your downloads (I mean, if you have ONE file for each download, it can't really get cluttered now, can it?).

Versions:
1.0b Maintenance Release with GetRight 4.x support
This is NOT a final release of a new version LogRight - it has just been release in order to provide preliminary support for Getright 4.0's new log format (namely 4-digit years).
Although the final release will be quite different than this one, this release has been tested and works fine. However, in case you notice any problem, please
do not hesitate to mail me. Thanx

1.0 Final Beta
Fixed and changed and added lots of stuff... Read on:
1. New analyzing engine: The analyzing is notably faster, but on slower machines (such as the 233MMX I've got at the office), the program's speed while building the treeview, ain't the best... Maybe some API use will fix this. Later...
2. Bug fix: The first version of LogRight did not take mirror servers into account while generating results. Now it does. Hopefully the right way too ;)
3. More stats: Now it reports everything (really!) ,ie. URL, Local path, Resumes, Restarts, Mirror changes, Start\End dates & times etc.
4. Search function: Case sensitive or not, it searches for and displays any string in the log.
5. Execute button: Use this to re-submit the download (when pressed on a URL node) or execute the downloaded file (when pressed on the 'Local File' node).
6. Added some cool-looking flat buttons
7. You can now sort By Name, By Date, By URL, By Local path.
8. Default button: It's next to the Open Log button, and it opens the default logfile (if it finds it in the registry that is)
9. Tray icon now works fine.
10. Lots of minor stuff I can't remember anymore :)

0.1a - First Public Alpha Build
Well, right now it reads your log and puts everything in a tree, based on the file's DESTINATION on your PC - that is the local filename. It reports the URL you downloaded the file from, the starting date, the end date and the resumes for each file.
Also, it reports total files in the log file, total resumes, total restarts, total files completed, how many bytes GR saved you from re-downloading, and the starting/ending dates of the logfile.
A recent welcome addition (thanks to Michael - GetRight's developer) is the ability to monitor and report all current downloads (while you are using it of course - it cannot replace GetRight's own monitor).
The downloads can be sorted either by date (the downloading started - no matter the total resumes of a file over a period of time), or by name (including its local path)

There are several things that I'd like to include before I call it 'v1.0':
1. When sorting by date, it should really categorize it by date (and not by name as it is now).
2. When sorting by name, do not take the path into consideration.
3. Search (hopefully)
4. Make the damn toolbar icon work (for the time being it only appears when loaded and disappears when unloaded - that's something ;-)
5. Whatever you'd like me to do...

Thanx a lot.
Theremon.
