                                    MESSAGE

The Symantec BBS provides forums for moderated discussions between our
customers and related to our products and services. It also provides
libraries from which our customers can download files and "frequently
asked questions documents" (FAQ's) for most of our products.

Symantec representatives monitor these forums. While we may
occasionally respond to uncommon questions or issues (those not
covered in the FAQs) response by a Symantec support representative is
not guaranteed. Enhancement requests and problem reports are forwarded
to our development staff and quality assurance teams.

If you need timely written support, please contact Symantec through
our support forums on CompuServe (GO SYMANTEC) or America Online

Date: Friday, December 9, 1994 2:57pm /NAVDEF
From: Navtech Msg#: 223693
  To: ** ALL **
FILE: 30A14B.ZIP -- 2nd Set of Definitions for Dec.

This is the virus definition set for December, for Norton AntiVirus
version 3.0. This set is cumulative, and contains all previous defs.
It is current as of 12/03/94. This ZIP file was created using
PKZIP 2.04g, so you may need to upgrade your own compression utility

After unZIPping this file, be sure to read both the READ.ME file, and
the 30A14B.TXT file. There is information in the former on how to
accomplish the update, and the latter contains important information
about this revision, and the current state of world events regarding
viruses.

The READ.ME file will tell you that this virus def set
contains a new dll, called VIRLIST2.DLL. This will be needed
to view the new, longer, definition set.

In order to use this definition set--you will need to have run
NAVUP (if you have not already done so) or have a NAV.EXE with
a file date of at least July, 1994.
