The Norton AntiVirus 3.0

Cannot find file specified in win.ini (or one of it components).

If you see this message when you start Windows, it is because there is an
extra space in the LOAD = line of the WIN.INI file.

The WIN.INI is one of the files used by Windows define your Windows
environment. When you change something in Windows, for example, the
wallpaper, or adding new fonts, these changes are saved in the WIN.INI.

The LOAD = line specifies the applications to be run automatically after you
start Windows. The entry is a list of application filenames, or documents
associated with an application, with each filename separated by a space.
When there is an extra space, Windows is looking for a filename; hence the
message Cannot find file....

How to delete the extra space:

You can use the Windows System Editor utility to edit the WIN.INI.

.	Start Windows.
.	Choose the File Run command from the Program Manager main menu.
.	In the Command line box, type: SYSEDIT
.	Press the Enter key.
.	You will see four files, one of which is WIN.INI. To edit this file,
use your mouse to click on the window labeled C:\WINDOWS\WIN.INI.

Note that your drive letter and path may be different depending on how you
have Windows installed. If you don't have a mouse, choose WIN.INI from the
Window menu.

.	The Load= line is at the beginning of the file in the [Windows]
section. It is usually the third line in the file. When you find
the extra space, press the Delete key to remove it.

.	Choose the File Save command to save the file.
.	Choose File Exit to exit the System Configuration Editor, and then
choose File Exit again from the Program Manager main menu to exit
Windows. Next time you start windows there will be no message.

.	If this does not work, you can move the reference to NAVTSRW.EXE to
        the beginning of the line:

                        LOAD=C:\NAV\NAVTSRW.EXE

Your drive letter and path may be different depending on where you have
Norton AntiVirus installed.
