Spawn is a Freeware 32bit Quake frontend.

	- Spawn now saves the UDP port number you choose for a particular IP address.
1.0:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
HOW TO USE IT:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Spawn is simple to use, I think ;). The first time you run it you will probably
have to set the path to Quake.exe and the path to your maps.
	Ex: c:\quake and c:\quake\id1\maps
Once you select the maps directory, the maps listbox fills up with the custom .bsp files in
that directory. It will always list the standard Quake maps. You will also have to pick
the quake executable you want to use.
	Ex: Quake.exe
This is so you can use VQuake.exe for rendition cards and the quake.exe that comes with the
mission packs without renaming either of them (VQuake.exe wont work with the mission packs).

The 'Game' droplist is just a listing of directories under your Quake directory,
excluding id1.

The 'Autoexec.cfg' edit window is for customizing your autoexec.cfg file for any mod
you choose to run, or the standard autoexec.cfg for normal Quake. It will load your current
autoexec.cfg the first time you select a game from the 'Game' droplist. This edit window
doesn't actually change your exeisting autoexec.cfg file. When you press the play button
(the big Quake Q), Spawn will rename your existing autoexec.cfg and then write out a new one.
After Quake is running it will then remove the new .cfg file and restore your original. Any
changese you make will be stored in the Windows registry so that you don't have to type the
settings in again if you don't want to.

The settings checkboxes are just for picking any of the standard Quake commandline
parameters you would normally use. These are all the parameters I know of, so if you know of
any others e-mail them to me and try work them into Spawn.

The 'IP address' droplist is where you will enter the Quake server you wish to attach
to over the internet. After the address is entered and the focus moves from the droplist,
the address is added the list of selectable addresses in the droplist. When you start Quake
or exit Spawn, the list of addresses will be stored in the Windows registry. This is so you
never have to re-enter an address again. If an address is no longer useful to you, then
simply select it and press the delete button. It will be removed from the list perminantly.

As always, any comments (good or bad) are welcome. And if you find any bugs, please
report them and I will fix them as soon as possible.

Thanks for trying and hopefully using Spawn! Happy Gaming!
