*Beta Notes:
Released this level to satisfy those that have loyally followed
my progress and want to play the full-up thing.  All the bad guys
and the weapons are here. About the only thing lacking are real
levels - so I'll release this, then release a FIXED FULL version
in a few short weeks along with a FULL EPISODE, -then- MISSION
PACKS seperatly to update the SF challenges! Check the web site
often for updates and progress.

*SitRep:
0530Local-Your country needs you!  You've been through the
        roughest training the miliatary has to offer, we've
        invested millions in you - and now its time to earn
        your paycheck.  There is a clear and present danger
        to the nations security.  We're sending you in solo
        in a 'covert' role to minimize detection.  If caught,
        you will labeled a renage and disavowed.  Do not let
        us down!

*Level Missions:

                 **These are basic/beta levels*
                             ===== ====

1 - Barracks - the new start level.  Difficulties in the bunk
        room go Easy-left, Med-middile and Hard-right. In the
        planning room, go left for The Special Forces missions,
        straight for Episode 2, and right for 3.

2 - The Kill House - a TIMED level.  Kill everyone to exit the
        level, and shoot for the best time possible.  A training
        mission that will introduce you to all the bad guys.

3 - Hijacked! Another timed mission. You start in the cargo hold
        of a hijacked 747.  Work your way through cargo, to the
        service elevator that takes you to the roof/walkway and
        in to the main cabin kitchen (Intel says this area is
        the least guarded). Kill all Tangos (terrorists) in the
        best time possible to protect civilian life.

4 - Shooting Range - just a simple shooting range with all of
        the weapons for you to play with.  This level does NOT
        have an exit, so you wont get out of here.

*Impulses: Bind these to your favorite key for easy use-
        --Grap Hook Out  = 98
        --Grap Hook In   = 97
     For those new to binding, hit ~ to get the console window and type
       BIND Q "IMPULSE 45"
     Return, and now when you hit Q the Laser Sighting will come on!

*Weapons:
1) Commando Knife: close combat - your last hope

2) MP5 - special forces favorite, close quarters sub-machine gun. High rate
        of fire so watch your ammo consumption.  May take a few shots to
        down a tango.

3) Assault Shotgun - used for clearing a crowded room.  Slow rate of fire
        but packs a big punch.

4) Sniper Rifle - with laser sighting.  Very slow reloads, but excellent
        accurarcy and power from long distance.

5) Gas Grenades - toss 'em and gas the baddies (poison gas! do not use near
        hostages!).  Cloud takes about 10 seconds to disapate so avoid areas
        that you just gased.

6) Gator Mine Gune - fire these Gator mines and stay away - they will go
        boom if someone gets too close (great surprise for pursuit forces).

7) C4 Charge - packs a HUGE wallop!  Toss them and run, the audio beep means
        the timer has started, and you have 10 SECONDS to be somewhere else.
        This can shake a large room, so no shit - be far away!

8) The Air Strike - you have a laser designator gun, just laz the target
        and call in the Air Force!  Rockets take their time getting there,
        but 4 Maverick missile can save the day.  Use outdoors only (if you
        use it inside, the Air Strike will impact on the roof above you,
        possibly injuring yourself!). IMPORTANT: you MUST keep the target
        illuminated until the missiles fly over head! If you move the laser
        dot, the missile will re-aim = and miss.

Ammo notes:
   SHELLS = Assault Shotgun
   NAILS/BULLETS = MP5, Sniper Rifle
   CELLS = Air Strike (power the transmitter)
   ROCKETS = gas grenades, C4 and Gator mines

*Bad Guys:

A) Mercenaries - carry the mp5 also - will hunt you down, but they're not
        too tough.

B) Neo-Nazis - also use the mp5, will blindly charge into any battle and
        fight to the death.

C) Terrorists - big hulking guys in tank-tops.  Can fire grenades at you,
        and love to swing that right-hook up close.  Slow and mean, and they
        can take a few hits.

D) Ninjas - fast, sword packing fellows.  Can jump in on you and dice you up.

E) Snipers - has a sniper rifle just like yours and can reach out and touch
        you from long distance.  They will not leave their nests, so locate
        them and take out their perches early.

F) Helicopter Gunship - fires air-to-mud missiles your way, usually two per
        salvo.  They also tend to alert other forces of your location.

G) Bio-Hazards - an evil concoction of the enemy scientist - this biological
        weapon is attracted to human tissue and feeds on flesh - don't pet
        the science experiments!

H) Others: man-eating fish in many watery areas & guard dogs often found with
        Mercs and Nazis.

*SPECIAL FORCES MISSION PACKS

Check back at SF-Quakes home page for more missions.  I'll create
a few related maps at a time (ie 3-4 maps in 1 scenario) and
release a zip of this new mission pack to upgrade SF-Quake! Level
designers feel free to make maps and send 'em to me, I'll post
anything made for SF-Quake!  May even beg you to help out with
SF][. . .  (level designers see level.faq for info on the special
entities and level rules).

*SPECIAL FORCES ][: Deadly Force Authorized  

!Coming Soon! (eta: AUGUST) - planning to add all the goodies I
didn't get around to = more weapons, more baddies, vehicles (like
Dune Buggy, Assault Dirt Bike, Tank, underwater diver-aid, jetski
or something like those).  PLUS if SF1 is well recieved and there
is a desire for DEATHMATCH fixes, I'll enhance that portion (cuz
I think it'd kick ass to do force-on-force missions!).

it for the NEXT VERSION.  I wont be releasing a new version every
day or two, cuz that sucks.  But July it'll be the FINAL ver. 1.0
