INSTALLATION INFO
-----------------
Decompress the archive recursively from within your the quake 
directory into /KOMBAT and launch the game...

quake -game kombat

It wouldn't hurt to use -winmem 14 (or more)... What could be simpler?

Start with a command prompt FROM YOUR Quake directory

        pkunzip -d mk1497d1.zip
        pkunzip -d mk1497d2.zip
        pkunzip -d mk1497d3.zip
        
RANT: Restore the DIRECTORY STRUCTURE of the zip files!


GETTING HELP IN THE GAME
------------------------
Type HELP to view impulses during the game (not implemented in beta). 

You can also press F1 to access on line help (not used in beta).

For the Beta version, weapons should be cycled instead of selected.
We are working on a new system for weapons selection.

Scorpion's hook works in many different ways.  Play around with it
and you'll see how it works - unfinished - more in the full version.

BUGS IN THIS VERSION
--------------------
This is a pre-beta. Please remember that many planned features are not yet
implemented, but I thought that people needed a taste of what we're doing 
at least - after all this is taking a lot longer than we expected - and
everyone was getting so impatient! Send bug reports anywayse!

ALL of the bugs listed below are the result of RIPPING some portions of the patch
away from it's rightful place in the full version - getting this beta out has been
a little messy since so many of the mods we did were interconnected so tightly!

- Radsuit skin stays if you die with it 
- Bullets don't richochet off walls
- Chasecam goes on in death under water, and lazersight stays on during intermission
- Sounds have been reduced GREATLY in this version
- Music is removed for sake of beta download size
- Scorpion's Brutalities and Finishing Moves are out (size limits!)
