My very first Quake add-on. Since I am a big
fan of Record of Lodoss War (a Japanese animation)
I decided the first tiny one would be of it.
This doesnt do -too much-, in fact all it is
is some wav files. It replaces the first boss's
sound effects. It is a very nice battle song in
Lodoss. When you grab the rune, it starts playing.
Because the level is small it will continue to
play until you shock him the first time. It stops
then and plays his pain sound (pain.wav), so I
merged the pain sound with the first song a little
way into it. It will repeat when you shock him the
second time, theres nothing I can do unless I learn
Quake C (or someone does it for me). Then when you
kill him, youll hear the death sound merged with the
end of the first song. Note that dropping down the
chute will fade the song away, but then going through
the portal and finishing brings you back to the end
of the song. While this isn't much, I will include
things like this in upcoming levels I do, but for
now serves as an excellent demonstration of how
to add music to your Quake levels. Later Ill add
all this to a PAK for better ease of use. The cfg file
is not at all required, just my config. You MUST have that
mouse look on to beat anyone in quake, look at my
config if you are having troubles.

Be sure to unzip in your Quake dir with the -d option. Example:
cd\Quake
pkunzip lodossv1.zip -d

It will make a Lodoss subdir. Then type
Quake -game Lodoss <enter>
and head to E1M7 to test the sounds. If you dont make the directorys BTW,
it wont work at all.

You can do WHATEVER with this, be keep in mind
Lodoss is copyrighted (I think), so dont go
brodcasting this on TV or something. Other than
that this should be fine for personal use.
Mostly as a base for programmers to do your
own stuff, add your favorite music.
