  Description of the Modification

        I heard about Team Fortress from a friend, and subsequently
downloaded the sniper patch to check it out. All I can say is...very
disapointing. I liked it, it was decent, but it was rather boring, and only
useful for deathmatch or TF. I therefore decided to create XSniper.
        XSniper puts you in the position of a fully-trained military sniper.
You get the sniper rifle, homing missiles, and best of all, X-Ray goggles. I
actually stole the X-Ray goggles from someone else. Sorry, I've forgotten who
it was, but whoever you are, thankyou.

  Brief summary of features

 XSniper rifle: zoom in and use night-vision goggles to aim accurately
 XSniper homing missiles: Finds a target, then follows closely
 X-Ray goggles: See through walls/doors, even floors and ceilings
 Now the crucified zombies are gibbable: Idea from someone.....
 Laser sight: Aim better than the crosshair, and when targetting a
  monster, or a deathmatch opponent, it will say "* LOCK *"
 Floating gibs, dead bodies, backpacks, etc. (Thanks to Alan Kivlin)
 Land mines; very lethal!

  How to use Modification

Using these keys will activate various features:

        S - Toggle XSniper mode
        X - Toggles X-Ray goggles
        L - Toggle laser-sight
        2 - Switch to XSniper rifle
        7 - Switch to XSniper homing missiles
        M - Drop a land mine (Arms after 5 secs,
               auto-detonate after 1 min 30 secs)

  How to Install the Modification

(1) Go to Quake directory (C:\GAMES\QUAKE, etc.)
(2) Make a subdirectory named XSNIPER (e.g. C:\GAMES\QUAKE\XSNIPER)
(3) Unzip everything into that subdirectory
(4) Run Quake with the -game option (e.g. QUAKE -GAME XSNIPER)
