   This zipfile should contain the following files:

WHAT THIS PATCH DOES:

   This Quake patch is for all the gib/blood/carnage luvvers out there. It does
the following:    - Makes the nailgun, super nailgun, grenade launcher and
                    rocket launcher all fire gibs.
                  - Makes all the gunz fire _very_ fast execpt the axe, which
                    is speeded up, but it can't go to fast, otherwise it
                    doesn't hit.
                  - Makes more blood come out of guys, when killed but not
                    gibbed.
                  - Makes _A LOT_ more gibs come out of blown up players in
                    multiplayer. The problem with this and having Quad Damage
                    is that the player and his/her gibs are often blasted out
                    of the level bounds! (An unusual effect)
                  - Give you unlimited and automatic Quad Damage and unlimited
                    ammo, even in Multiplayer. These start once you fire a gun
                    for the first time in a level.
                  - Makes Shambler's take double damage from explosions,
                    unlike normal, when they take half damage.
                  
   The following it also does but makes are pointless 'cause of the unlimited
ammo:             - Puts all the ammo limits up to 999, but because Quake can
                    only accept up to 255, it says 231 for ammo and after ammo
                    reaches 0, it goes to 255 (it does this 3 times before the
                    real 0).
                  - Makes all ammo boxes give you 100 of that type of ammo.


These make for __TOTAL__ gorefest! Enjoy!


HOW TO USE:

   After unzipping this file, make a directory called 'PSYKOGIB' in your Quake
directory. In the 'PSYKOGIB' directory create a directory called 'PROGS'. Copy
'PROGS.DAT' into the 'PSYKOGIB' directory and the remaining files into
'PSYKOGIB/PROGS'. NOTE: The directory 'PROGS' and it's contents are not
necessary for this patch to work. If you want, you can delete it.

   To play Quake with Psyko Gibber, get into your Quake directory and type:
'QUAKE -GAME PSYKOGIB'.

   This patch was made using QCC from id Software.


HOW TO RECOMPILE:

   To recompile this patch, copy all the .QC files and 'PROGS.SRC' from your
QCC directory to the 'PSYKOGIB\PROGS', except for 'WEAPONS.QC', 'PLAYER.QC'
and 'ITEMS.QC' and run QCC on the 'PSYKOGIB\PROGS' directory.

   This patch is Freeware, and may be distributed all you want. You may modify
this patch on the condition that I'm given credit somewhere in the modified
patch.

UPDATES:

v1.0a - First version. Never released.

v1.0c - Fixed 2 bugs and added 1 thing. Bugs were packet overflow cause of to
        many gibs, the other with a the gib grenade bouncing sound not being
        precached. Added bigger and different shaped gibs for grenade launcher
        and missile launcher.
