  I.  What is TD?
  ------------------------------------------

    Total Destruction is a spiced deathmatch like
  ChaosDM for quake2
    There are more than 30 weapons, spells and new powers, allowing
  brand new ways to send your opponents sky high!
    This manual will cover the basics


  II.  Statusbar: your best friend!
  ------------------------------------------

    The STATUS BAR is the floating text in your screen. If you
  can't see it, use a lower screen resolution (it works in all
  resolutions and was made to fit 320x200)
    The SBAR holds 4 informations: your current WEAPON, your curent
  SPELL, the TIME left to the spell to recharge and the RUNE you
  are carrying (if any)
    They are all explained in the topics below:


  III.  Weapon System
  ------------------------------------------

    The weapon system was modified in the following ways:

    1. SPELLS: Use your spell with the "1" key (the normal axe was
  removed)

    2. SPECIAL WEAPONS: If the server is not running in "classic TD"
  mode, shining weapons will be scattered around the level. These
  are SPECIAL WEAPONS, and each is unique. When you collect a special
  weapon, it becomes available to you by the "9" key (impulse 20)

    3. POWER LEVELS: The conventional weapons from 3 a 8 (Shotgun,
  Flamegun, Nailgun, Grenade, Rocket e Thunderbolt) now posess 4
  power levels: 1, 2, 3 e MAX. A weapon increases level when you
  already posess it and pick it up again (or when you get an already
  powered weapon from a slain foe)

    4. RUNES: Not exactly weapons; there are 4 runes scattered around
  the level. When you pick one up, you get a special power.


   Other modifications: weapon 2 is an UZI-like machinegun and
  weapon 4 is a Flamegun (shoots flame balls and uses..
  well.. nails)


  IV. Spells
  ------------------------------------------

    You get a new SPELL (or magic weapon) each time
  you respawn, and it is informed in the Statusbar (lower
  right corner of the screen)

    To use, or select, your spell, just hit "1"

    There are like 20 of them, so getting to know how
  to use each is important. Most work just hitting "1",
  others require you to select it by hitting "1"
  and then firing it with the ATTACK key


  V. Armas Especiais
  ------------------------------------------

    There are 5 special weapons. They are unique and powerful.

    If you get your hands in one of them, hit "9" to select it




  VI. Power Levels (regular weapons only)
  ------------------------------------------

    Each of the regular weapons (from 3 to 8) operates in 4
  different power levels: 1, 2, 3 and MAX.

    To increase a weapon's power, just pick it up again

    The power level is shown right after the weapon's name,
    like this:

    Rocket  [1  ]             - Rocket Launcher LEVEL 1
    Shotgun [ 2 ]             - Super Shotgun LEVEL 2
    Thunder [  3]             - Lightning Gun LEVEL 3
    Flame   [MAX]             - Flame Gun LEVEL MAXIMUM

    slain foes leave some weapon upgrades, so it is quicker
  if you kill people to increase regular weapon's powers


  VII. Runes
  ------------------------------------------

    RUNES are the little purple symbols scattered around
  the level. You can carry onlu one at a time, and it is
  shown in the lower right corner of the screen, just above
  the "Current Spell" display

    If you wish to drop your rune to get another, use IMPULSE 22.

  ======== RUNES ======================================================

  CLOAKING: makes you 100% invisible when not moving
  TURBO: makes you run faster, jump higher, have no
         falling damage, no drowning, no water sounds, dive
         in slime and lava (with little damage)
  MAGIC ARMOR: just like the CTF rune, you get only 1/2 damage
               from attacks
  REGENERATION: just like the CTF rune, you regenerate your
                health and armor


  VIII. VOTE-EXIT & VOTE-WARP
  ---------------------------------------------------------

  use IMPULSE 100 to initiate VOTE-EXIT

  everybody on the server will be prompted to hit the "0" key
  to agree. if the majority decides so, the server changes to
  the next map.

  use IMPULSE 1xy to initiate VOTE-WARP

  ..where "x" is the EPISODE digit (1-4 for Ex, 5 for DM maps),
  and "y" is the MAP digit

  examples:

        "IMPULSE 132" - E3M2
        "IMPULSE 111" - E1M1
        "IMPULSE 147" - E4M7
        "IMPULSE 155" - DM5

  also, the map "start" is IMPULSE 101, and "end" is IMPULSE 102


  IX. Dropping your current RUNE or SPECIAL WEAPON
  ------------------------------------------

    To drop your RUNE, use IMPULSE 22

    To drop your SPECIAL WEAPON, use IMPULSE 23

    it is necessary that each player binds those
    impulses manually
