Total Destruction II
INSTRUCTIONS FOR REMOTE ADMINISTRATION OF THE SERVER
================================================

You can change the "timelimit", "fraglimit" and current map
remotely, just read on

Aliases
-------

There's an "ADMIN.CFG" file that came along with the package.
Just run it in the remote console (exec admin.cfg) to gain acess
to the aliases and avoid memorizing IMPULSEs

Changing Password
---------------

Run ADMIN.EXE (win32) that comes with the installation and MUST
be in the same directory of PROGS.DAT. This little util can also
change the welcome message (upto 5 lines), but now let's just
change the remote admin's password:

In the text box on the left, where it says "Senha" (I lost the
program source, so.. no translation.. yeah, sucks) "Senha" means
"Password" ok? Now, you just learned a portuguese word!

Anyway, in this text box, enter a password, with 4 digits between
1 and 9 (NO 0's)

If you want to remove the password at any time (disable any remote
administration) use "0000" as password.

If the password you typed was valid, an OK button will show up. Hit
it and the password will be stored directly in the PROGS.DAT.

Doing remote login
------------------

To administrate the server remotely, enter as a player on the
server, pull down the console and type IMPULSE 200 (or use
the "login" alias in admin.cfg)

The first digit of the password will be asked. Enter the
IMPULSE or ALIAS of the digit:

digit impulse alias

  1 IMPULSE 201 1
  2 IMPULSE 202 2
  3 IMPULSE 203 3
  4 IMPULSE 204 4
  5 IMPULSE 205 5
  6 IMPULSE 206 6
  7 IMPULSE 207 7
  8 IMPULSE 208 8
  9 IMPULSE 209 9

Next, enter digits 2, 3 and 4. Repeat the above for each digit.

If the password is entered right, a message saying "Password Correct!" will
be displayed and you will be granted admin access

OBS: You must enter the password again whenever the server restarts (ie.
when it change maps, etc)

To cancel admin rights, use IMPULSE 210, "logout" or simply disconnect

Changing timelimit
-----------------

impulse command alias

IMPULSE 220 "timelimit 0" t0
IMPULSE 221 "timelimit 10" t10
IMPULSE 222 "timelimit 20" t20
IMPULSE 223 "timelimit 30" t30
IMPULSE 224 "timelimit 40" t40
IMPULSE 225 "timelimit 50" t50
IMPULSE 226 "timelimit 60" t60
IMPULSE 227 "timelimit 70" t70
IMPULSE 228 "timelimit 80" t80
IMPULSE 229 "timelimit 90" t90
IMPULSE 230 "timelimit 100" t100

Changing fraglimit
-----------------

impulse command alias

IMPULSE 240 "fraglimit 0" f0
IMPULSE 241 "fraglimit 10" f10
IMPULSE 242 "fraglimit 20" f20
IMPULSE 243 "fraglimit 30" f30
IMPULSE 244 "fraglimit 40" f40
IMPULSE 245 "fraglimit 50" f50
IMPULSE 246 "fraglimit 60" f60
IMPULSE 247 "fraglimit 70" f70
IMPULSE 248 "fraglimit 80" f80
IMPULSE 249 "fraglimit 90" f90
IMPULSE 250 "fraglimit 100" f100

Changing map (changelevel)
--------------------------

impulse command

IMPULSE 100 next map (exit)
IMPULSE 101 "changelevel start"
IMPULSE 102 "changelevel end"

IMPULSE 1xy "changelevel exmy" (x from 1 to 4)
IMPULSE 15x "changelevel dmx"

examples:

IMPULSE 111 "changelevel e1m1"
IMPULSE 146 "changelevel e4m6"
IMPULSE 151 "changelevel dm1"
IMPULSE 153 "changelevel dm3"

To change maps via the aliases, just type the name of the
map on the console, ex: "e1m1". To exit the level, use the
alias "exit"

Don't forget: the aliases are in the ADMIN.CFG file and
you must execute it to use the aliases
