Q2DIR
-----

1. Whats it for?
----------------
With q2dir you have 2 new commands in the quake 2 console:
-"demodir" lists all demos you have in your "baseq2/demos" directory
-"mapdir" lists all maps (bsp) you have in your "baseq2/maps" directory

2. How to use Q2DIR?
--------------------
Installation:
-copy the q2dir.exe file into your quake2-directory
-add the following line to your quake2 autoexec.cfg:
 exec q2dir.cfg
(if you dont have an autoexec.cfg in your quake2/baseq2-directory,
create the file and only put this single command into it)
-open the properties of your quake2 shortcut (on desktop or in
startmenu). replace the call of quake2.exe with a call of q2dir.exe,
but leave all other things unchanged, like path and parameters.
for example, if your quake2 starting command line was:
 d:\games\quake2.exe +set cddir E:\install\data +set basedir d:\games\QUAKE2
 the new one should be:
 d:\games\q2dir.exe +set cddir E:\install\data +set basedir d:\games\QUAKE2

-every time you click on the icon now, q2dir creates the new demo- and map-
 directorys and then launches quake2
-go to the quake2 console and type "demodir" for a list of the demos,
type "mapdir" for a list of the maps on your harddrive
-if the number of files gets bigger than a certain number, a message will
appear which looks something like this:
 "(14) Type mapdirX for more"
This means that 14 files where listened and you can type mapdirX (X is a
 number) to get more
-remember that the new lists are only generated when you start quake2,
so if you record a new demo it will not appear in the list, if you dont
 restart

3. History
