[Ia. Introduction: What is Tripod Quake(3PodQ)?]

        Tripod Quake, 3PodQ for short, is an add-on to
        Quake, a highly customizable game by id Software.  3PodQ exists
        as a data file without ever modifying Quake's original files.
        3PodQ works completely as both a single player or(deathmatch and
        co-op) multiplayer game.

[Ic. What's New in this Version]

3PodQ History (Major Changes):

v1.0-1.9 Private Version

These versions had no new graphics, or models, but used the
existing models in Quake for the grapple, etc.. This versions
distribution was limited to Dave whom I used to DeathMatch with.
This version had fragmentary grenades, the prox mines would 
attack their owner... you get the point.

v2.0 First Public release... had new models, graphics, etc..

v2.1-2.9 Private

I kept adding stuff to 3PodQ but I never got off my ass and uploaded
the .zip file so only Dave and I ever played it.

v3.0 Second Public release

This version has the guided missile, pipe bombs, prox mines, holograms,
grapple w/mdl, new sounds, bla bla bla....

[IIa. How Do I Play 3PodQ in Single Player Mode?]

1. Download 3PodQ into a temporary directory.

2. Decompress 3PodQ into a SUBDIRECTORY under QUAKE.
		
	For example:
	If your Quake stored in C:\QUAKE, then decompress 3PodQ into
        C:\QUAKE\3PodQ.

	If Quake is in C:\GAMES\QUAKE, then decompress into
        C:\GAMES\QUAKE\3PodQ.

3. Run Quake with the command QUAKE.EXE -GAME 3PodQ.

4. Run Quake as you normally would.

Weapons keys:
Pipe Bomb - [ (to throw it), ] (to detonate it) 
A-Bomb- b
Proximity Mines - p
Hologram - h

1. Follow steps 1 and 2 as above.

2. Run the server as you normally would.

3PodQ will automatically bind all the keys for you.
	
If the keys fail, you must bind them manually.
