Description : Three months in the making, Prodigy Special Edition
sends you on a torturous journey through a completely
			  new Quake episode.

The basic story is that you're a mercenary searching for
a collection of golden keys. All you know is that there
is one per area and that the inhabitants will fiercly
			  protect their territory.

Each map can act as a self-contained adventure, so
it is possible to play any level in any order.
Your journey begins in a start map in which you can
choose your skill, then which level you want to try
first. At the end of each map, you are beamed back to
the start to select the next one, or change the skill
			  if required.

Every pre-released map has new monsters and has
been optimised for multiplayer games. I've also fixed
any bugs and sped up Ebony Shrine by 70%.

Decide what kind of a beating you want, then decide
where you want it. I've given you the super shotgun
in this level, you may just need it...

You can select any level in any order, and when you
complete the level, you will arrive back here. You
might then wish to increase the skill setting and try
the same map again with some weapons in hand, or try
			  a different one.

_ MAP ONE _/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_
"Arrival" Starts on a spaceship where you can grab some combat
armour and the four weapons that your ship has to offer.

The key is kept inside a chapel, access to which requires
			   a bridge to be drawn
The inhabitants of the planet carry weapons which you
must use to refill yours, as little or no ammo is
available on the planet (these guys don't leave stuff
			   lying around like some do...)
For the same reason you will find no medi kits, so don't
just wade in and take damage, or your Quest will be a
			   short, bloody one.

_ MAP TWO _/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_
"Ebony Shrine" Takes you to an ancient Shrine complex.

You must obtain the Key that is held within the
confines of fiercly protected shrine. Then make use
of the teleporter on the shrine's doorstep to take
			     you outta there.
To gain access to this most Holy of shrines, you must
first open the great doors by deactivating the
			     Runelock.
Word has it that if any outlander removes the Key
from its pedestal, It causes the previous keepers to
			     self-mutilate...

Caution - you will be served a light portion of brush voodoo at two points in
the level but neither affects playability.

_ MAP THREE _/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_
"Venom" Is a medieval fortress set in the midst of a strange,
half-flooded town. It seems that where there was once a
quiet community there is now hell. You need to penetrate
the inner sanctum {:o of this stronghold to find the
			  Key you are after.

Access to the fortress is restricted to a single
bridge and gate, apart from this, it is impenetrable.

Once inside the fortress, expect very heavy resistance
as the inhabitants built it. They have an alarmingly
effective guard presence. It will take all you cunning
and reflexes to get out alive.

This adventure takes place over two maps.

"Sombre Citadel Your quest takes place in an unworldly citadel which
holds a Key of immeasurable value. Getting to the key
will be the greatest challenge. Pick it up before
leaving the complex in the transportation portal
			  provided nearby the key.

"Endurance" If you can find it, you may soon wish you hadn't. This
is the Secret level that introduced itself in Prodigy
Four. The entrance to this level is a cunningly
disguised part of the start map. Advised not to
proceed unless you are with some other victims.

As with other maps, this is a self-contained challenge,
which means that all the weapons, ammo and health you
need to complete the level is contained therein.

Warning to part-timers - no skill level changes in this
			  map.

Additional Credits to : Yahn Bernier for BSP - *THE* Quake editor
: Everyone who provided me with feedback on the original
			  Prodigy levels.

Info about the Author	: I graduated from Oxford University last summer and
created Doom levels for three years before converting
to Quake. I enjoy toasting other players in deathmatches
inside my own levels. I also enjoy designing levels and
textures that are unique and provide the player with a
more realistic and intense atmosphere. If my levels
provide the player with the unexpected, I'm happy.

Non Quake related - I enjoy racking up speed fines in
			  my 150mph Corrado VR6.

Other Levels by Author	: 16 levels in The Plutonia Experiment, Final Doom.
4 levels in Evilution, Final Doom.
Over 50 levels for Doom and Doom2, including
"The Punisher" and "Thebest" deathmatch levels.
"Hatred" in the Requiem level set.
	      For Quake : DCDM1, DCDM2, DCDM3, DCDM4, DCDM5(a)
			  PRODIGY series

Author's plug : I'm now working for an awesome new company that
will be making games with the Quake2 engine, so if you
like PRODIGY SE, look out for Valve Software.

* Copyright / Permissions *

After hearing of the blatant disregard for the laws of copyright
by some incorigable CDROM publishers, I won't bother ranting about what you
can and can't do with Prodigy Special Edition. I'll make it simple:

You can play Quake it
You can't do anything else with it

If I hear otherwise the parties responsible will bare a very real lawsuit.

If you have any query or would like to arrange some other use for this level set,
contact me at the address above and I will be happy to help.

Before anyone asks, I'm won't change the maps to fit in with a TC.
