Danskins.zip .txt file

Welcome to the text file for the first collection of
Dan Bickell's personal Quake skins.

What do I mean about "personal"? Well, these are all of the
Quake skins depicting myself. Over the last year or so, I've
done a number of skins depicting myself (in more or less
realistic ways). Some are of me in different clothes that I
wear, and others are more fantastical outfits. Many are
personalized modifications of my other popular skins.

The skins included are:

Bickell6 (completely re-done version of my first personal skin,
dbickell.pcx- commonly known as "NIN guy")

Bickell5 (completely re-done version of another personal skin
of mine bickell3.pcx, w/ jeans, t-shirt, and coat)

Bickell4 (the latest personal skin, with color selectable stylin'-
          ass suit)

NudeDan (Dan sans clothing and happy to see you)

QuakeDan (custom Quake marine outfit on Dan)

DOOM Dan (Dan as DOOM Guy)

Ninja Dan (Dan in ninja attire)

Ranger Dan (Dan wearing the custom Ranger Clan uniform he was
            requested to make by Coldsun)

Dan Solo (Dan as Han Solo from Star Wars)

Dan Fett (Dan as Boba Fett from Star Wars)

Dan in
Stormtrooper (Dan in Imperial Stormtrooper armor from Star Wars)
Disguise

Yes, that's eleven custom personalized Dan skins!
(but there are 22 skins in the .zip??!!??)

Yes, they're in both regular Quake and QuakeWorld formats.

The .bmp files are in regular Quake format (use with regular Quake)

The .pcx files are in QuakeWorld format (use in QuakeWorld only,
these will not work correctly with regular Quake or most skin
utility programs)

The face on these skins started out as a scan of an actual photo of
myself, Dan Bickell. So were a few other things.

Also included is a copy of my Quake graphics FAQ, to explain to you
how to use these.

If you have any problems, or you really dig these skins, or you
think I'm an arrogant asshole, or just want to get to know me...

feel free to email me (Dan Bickell) at: danbickell@loop.com

Enjoy!

And always remember: never pee directly into the wind.
