			  Capture the Flag!
			  -----------------

Capture the Flag is an adaptation of the outdoors game in a
Doom wad. The game is not won by fragging opponents, but by
	scoring points.

			     How to Play
			     -----------

You must complete three actions in order to score a point.
You must get the rad suit, open your scoring chamber, and
	enter your scoring chamber.

	1.	Get the Rad Suit
		----------------
The rad suit is located at the NW corner of the map.
From the SW corner, head north down the stairs and hit
the switch on the east wall. This will give you the
		rad suit.

	2.	Open Your Scoring Chamber
		-------------------------
In order to open your scoring chamber, you must run up
the stairs located near the center of the east wall.
In order to go up the stairs you must jump across from
the walkway to the stairs. At the top of the stairs
is a teleporter that will take you to the scoring
room. The teleporter and the scoring room are all
poisonous with -20% health. Even with the rad suit
you will sometimes get burned (a bug in the Doom
engine). Without the rad suit you are toast. After
teleporting, enter the open doorway on your right and
then enter the switch room that corresponds to your
color. This will open your scoring chamber.

	3.	Enter the Scoring Chamber
		-------------------------
Head to the room in the NE corner of the map. Inside
that room is a large square chamber. If you have done
everything correctly so far, the outer door to your
chamber will be open. As you enter the chamber, the
inner door will open. Take another step and you've
scored! You'll teleport and reappear in a safe spot.

			       Winning
			       -------

The first player to five points wins. At five points, the
appropriately colored pillar will be touching the ceiling and
you will be unable to open any more scoring chambers. It's
possible to score after another player has five points, but
very unlikely. In that case, the first player to five wins.

After winning, enter the exit door in the NW corner of the
map. The exit room offers you two choices:

		1.	Reset the level and play a new game of
			Capture the Flag

		2.	Exit to the next level.

To reset the game, push the switch on the west wall (the
switch near the hanging bodies). To exit to the next level,
push the switch on the east wall (the switch with "exit" on
	the walls near it).

			     Scoreboards
			     -----------

Each scoreboard consists of four pillars: green, indigo, brown
and red. There are five locations where these pillars exist,
but only two of them are official scoreboards and they are
flanked by two blue torches. The other three locations are
used to enable access to the BFG and megasphere, and disable
access to the teleporter when a player hits five points.

Each pillar in a scoreboard has a drop ceiling. When a pillar
rises to touch the drop ceiling, the corresponding player has
won the game! Each time a point is scored, the scoring
player's pillar will rise 1/5th of the way to the top.

				 BFG
				 ---

In order to make things a bit more exciting, once one player
reaches three points access to the BFG is enabled. However,
after any player gets to four points it is possible that
access to the BFG may be disabled again!

				 Mega
				 ----

To turn up the heat in the endgame, once any player reaches
four points, access to the Megasphere is enabled!

				Notes
				-----

o When you open your scoring chamber, you are also closing
	  all the other scoring chambers.

o If you die before entering the scoring chamber, your outer
door will *remain* open until another player opens their own
chamber, so if you die on the way to scoring, keep trying!!

o It's possible to score a point for somebody else! Be
careful whose scoring chamber you open!

o There are *three* entrances into the room with the scoring
chambers. There's the door, the window, and...

o This is easily adaptable to team play.

			    About the Wad
			    -------------

The original design for this wad was taken from dwellr06.
I chose that wad since it was a fairly fun and popular
deathmatch wad to begin with. I got the idea for Capture the
Flag from playing the dethtag wad. Please send comments and
	feedback to "Bharat.Mediratta@Sun.COM".
