Substitutions? : NO
System used : Pentium 90, VLB, SB AWE 32
Controls used : keyboard + mouse, with everything redefined
                          as follows:
    Keyboard:
        R: fire
        E: backwards
        W: fast (run)
        SPACE: use
    Mouse:
        1: forward
        2: strafe

I devised this setup almost a year ago now, after an initial DOOM
career as a keyboard-only player. Several other people have
adopted it since. Its main advantages over the default are that
the left hand rests more comfortably on the keyboard (you do feel
that after several hours of play!) and that the weapons are
available by touch-typing. Its only drawback became apparent when
I entered a tournament in London and discovered that, when there
is a fourth (red) player, the R key (fire) stops working because
it sends messages to red. Ouch. To cure this, be the red player
    yourself.

Free interpretation : E2M8-UV (the cyberdemon), 200% health and armour,
no damage taken throughout the level.

Comments :

DOOM 1 is old hat now, so I felt I had to do
outstanding LMPs if I wanted anyone to watch them.
The assigned one that I'm really proud of is E2M9.

        E2M1-UV:
Furious fighting, but it's an easy one. Nothing
special to highlight. The dance is near the beginning,
just after killing the first batch of marines.

        E2M9-UV:
I've seen many recordings of this one, even outside
the DHT, so I tried to set the record straight. 200%
health and armour, no damage taken throughout the
level, 100% everything, and under par. Beat that! :-)
I also demonstrate that it's possible to do the dance
before the end: watch for it just as I rush out of the
main room and grab the rocket launcher.

        E3M8-UV:
This can be a tricky one if you can't persuade the
spider to have a good fight with the baron. The key is
in deciding to get off the ledge at the right
moment. I believe that, theoretically, this one too
can be done without taking any damage, but I've never
done it. This is one of my best attempts, though.

Author info : I am completely nuts for DOOM -- so much so
that I invented the DHT. I am reasonably
good at deathmatch (although several players
I know can beat me) but sadly I don't have
the opportunity to play it very often. I
earned a DM title under the old rules.
