SECRETS & TIPS

MAP01
TIP: From the start, run up the steps and through the window to pick up teh shotgun. (It can also be picked up once you enter the building.)

SECRETS:

1. After entering the building near the start, go to the alcove to the right and shoot the differently textured wall.

TIP: Once you get into the rooms in front of the start area, go to the room at the left and at the far end of the room is a computer vent that can be opened to ambush the enemies on the other side.

SECRETS:

1. In the area with the water pool (before the exit area), the Eastern wall has a door (with a different texture) that hides a secret with a chaingun.

MAP04
TIP: To minimize damage from the withering hitscan fire near the start, run to the right after picking up the shotgun & green armor. There is an area there that is sheltered from enemies.
Alternatively, run straight ahead and pick up the shotgun & grren armor without firing a shot, keep running straight ahead and duck to the right or left to seek cover.

SECRETS:

1. Run up/down the steps leading to the blue key. It will open a door adjacent to the room with the blue key. Run around the corner to enter that door before it shuts.
2. In the room leading to the red key are several crates. Climb on the tiny crate at the NW corner of this room and run to the East, where a crate has temporarily lowered.

MAP05

SECRETS:

1. From the start, take the lift to the balcony at the left and walk straight to the wall and go down the lowering floor. Walk to the far wall, get back to the balcony level, and press the blue torch. It will open a wall from where the imps emerged, and will give you a berserk.
2. After going through the door at SW corner of balcony area, take the lift down and take the right fork. Run around the curving corridor, which will lower a lift at the far end of the corridor. Take the lift up to get the plasma rifle.
3. After picking up plasma rifle, return to lift near door at SW of balcony area, and turn right into the dark area. Take the left fork, and look for the differently textured wall on the right of that passageway. Shoot the wall, take the lift up, and shoot the differently textured wall. This will take you to the Soul Sphere.

MAP06

TIP: From the start jump down into the nukage canal to pick up the backpack. Then teleport back to the start area, pick up the green armor, and silently climb the steps to the platform and stand behind the Spider Demon while the imps attack you from the distance. Avoid their attacks while trying to get the Spider Demon to infight with the imps.

SECRETS:

1. After going down the first set of curving stairs, jump to the ledge across the lava channel. Shoot the slightly inset wall and enter to pick up the rocket launcher.

MAP08

TIP: In the corridor with the blue key, it is possible to pick up the super shotgun and run back to the newly-accessible teleporter to escape the area without a fight.
In the area with the imps, after dealing with the imps near the chainsaw, go down the steps to one side of the room and wake them up. As they congregate on that side of the room, run around to the other side of the room to escape through the door.

SECRETS

1. From the start area go through the doorway to the East. Jump down into the corridor at the right, and shoot the differently textured door. Pick up the berserk.
2. In the area swarming with Demons, go though the door to the room with the blue armor. Look for the lion face (different from the other gargoyle faces), press it and run to the alcove across the room and enter through the door that has opened. Pick up the Sould Sphere.

MAP09

SECRETS

1. From the start, get on the lift at the Southeastern corner of that area. Press the switch, which opens a door to an invisibility orb near the room with th chaingun.
2. In the tunnels leading to the central, circular chamber, explore the Western portions of the tunnels to get the radiation suit.
3 & 4. In the area with the blue skull key, press the switch on the right side. It opens two chambers in the area reachable via teleports behind the blue key door. The chamber on the right has an invisibility orb while the other one has a Soul Sphere.

MAP10

TIP: From the start you will teleport to the blue-key bars. You can run around the big room with the arachnotrons and imps to encourage infighting.
In that same room, go into the Southwestern corner (with a brain w/spinal column) to open a couple of doors to reveal a super shotgun
In the room with the chainsaw, go into the Northwestern corner (with a brain w/spinal column) to lower the column in the adjacent room. Pick up a chaingun.
In the central circular area, run into the Western nukage chamber (with a brain w/spinal column) to open various doors leading to ammo & health.

SECRETS

1. In the area with the shotgunners and riflemen, go to the alcove in the Southwest corner and shoot the differently-textured wall to lower several ledges. Pick up the berserk.
2. In the same area, head to the Northern wall, with a chaingunner on a lift. Step into the alcove with the differently-textured wall to raise a door behind the chaingunner. Run to the nearby alcove with the switch, press it to lower the lift, and run to it to ride it to the plasma rifle. [This maneuver may take a couple of attempts to time it just right.]
3. Near the exit is a lift that has a Supercharge. To lower the lift, run up/down the nearby curving stairway and dart to the lift.
4. In the central circular area, enter the surrounding corridor and take the doorway at the Eastern side. To the left is a differently-textured wall. Shoot it to enter and pick up the backpack.
5. After taking the teleporter behind the blue key bars, walk along the ledge and look for the arrow-shaped differently-textured floor. Jump down at that point to lower a lift in front. Go through the door and after picking up the computer map step onto the ledge behind. Press on the slightly-recessed computer panel to get the bulk cell.
6. In the space with the bulk cell (Secret 4) shoot the differently-textured computer panel to open a door leading to the green armor.
7. When you've teleported to the start area (with the invulnerability now accessible), look for the differently-textured wall. Shoot the wall to get some rocket ammo.

MAP11

SECRETS

1. From the start, go down stairs and through the doorway, and enter the chamber at the South. At the far end is a computer panel, behind which is a green armor.
2. Go around the outdoor area behind the start area and re-enter the building. To the right is a computer panel, behind which is a chaingun.
3. Enter the door at the West of the circular corridor. Look for the differently-textured metal support on the ledge, and press it to lower the support. This takes you to the backpack.
4. Follow that same ledge to the North of the room, jump across the gap, and press the differently-textured wall to open the door to the berserk.
5. After picking up the super shotgun, go through the two nukage chambers. Run around the corridor after that to lower a lift with a teleporter. This takes you to a secret area with a computer map.
6. After going through the yellow-key door, go past the lift and take the door to the left leading to the green armor. On the North wall there is some nukage seeping through the walls. Press on that wall to enter the area with a plasma rifle.
