Thank you for downloading Capybara! We hope you have a fun time with it.
=========================
Capybara is a 22-level Boom-compatible (cl9)"speed slaughtermap" community project, consisting bizzare visual designs, unconventional combat designs and some challenging slaughtery gameplay. In this project everybody needs to finish making the maps within 24 hours and only have 4 days to work on them, note that this is not a strict rule.

Majority of the maps are playtested with DSDA-Doom or Gzdoom, however note that you might suffer from unexpected lags in some grandiose slaughter situations. (a.k.a lots, lots of monsters)

=========================
Read this before playing!
---DO NOT run this wad with mods that affect dehacked content, unless you want to see 200 SMMs and Nazis laying around.
---This wad is balanced around pistol-starting, and doesn't support DM/Coop gameplay.
---There are no secret exit in Map15 or any other maps, don't waste your time looking for it.
---Knowing that difficulty settings exist will greatly improve your experience. Note that Map32 has unique difficulty settings to them.
---Special Challenge: There are capybaras hidden in every map, now go look for them!

Hey, Not too Rough - The ideal way to play the wad without getting seizures.
Hurt Me Plenty - Served for causal players who want a bit of challenges.
Ultra-Violence - Served for average players who want heavy challenges.
Nefarious - Served for experienced players only.
Impossible - Quite literal.

=========================
Custom Content:

Green Cyberdemon (a.k.a Cyber Jrs)
These cyberdemons replaced Spider Masterminds and have only 1000 health (same as barons) compared to regular cyberdemons.
They're here to prevent situations where you need to shoot down cyberdemons with super shotgun and waste 30 seconds doing so.
------------------------------------------
Evil Eye Turret
Replace Wolfenstein SS, these immobile indestructible turrets will fire plasma projectiles towards you when you get in their line of sights.
They react extremely fast, and therefore can cause lots of troubles when the space is restricted, or when there are a lot of them.

Tracklist/Maplist

Title Midi: Ripped from stuff2.wad map03 by Ribbiks
Intermission Midi: premo.mid - zzzv
Text Screen Midi Midi: majpen7_loop.mid by Ribbiks

Map01
Title: Sweet Little Dead Hamster
Map Author: Dubium
Track Used: Fire Field from F-Zero
Description: A map for MAP01 slot, relatively easy compared to other maps in the wad. The beginning area is intended to be inconvenient to mimic the beginning area of Italo Doom MAP01, Nefel's request. There is still one slightly challenging encounter later because I was thinking people might complain if the beginning area is the hardest part in the whole map.

Map02
Title: Guinea Pig
Map Author: cannonball
Track Used: Digital Nomad by AD_79
Description: A black/cyan map set under the stars. It is undoubtably the easiest map in the set. This takes some inspiration from Map01 of Stardate 20X6.

Map03
Title: Voidblume
Map Author: Rivi the Warlock
Track Used: Dark Groove.s3m (Gamerip from Jazz Jackrabbit 2), Dark Groove.mid by Shakionetcavy

Map04
Title: Cave Juices
Map Author: Worriedidiot
Track Used: "Deathwind" by James Paddock
Description: A short map set in a cave that can be beaten in around 5 minutes. Nothing special.

Map05
Title: Void Hydroprocessing
Map Author: Rivi the Warlock
Track Used: Gargoyles by Jimmy
Description: This is a remake of an old map, which fittingly is a prequel to hardest map I've ever released so far.

Map06
Title: Nonlocality
Map Author: CblBOPOTKA
Track Used: Arcturus - Kinetic
Description: Open map surrounded by poisonous liquid.

Map07
Title: Dark Fortress
Map Author: knifeworld
MIDI Used: Arrhythmia by Jimmy, from CABIN
Description: Void map with plenty of cyber and AV usage, texture and lighting choices are inspired by stuff like Sunder, and Dimensions map01.

Map08
Title: Molten Needles
Map Author: Lorenzo
Track Used: Stewboy - Other Side of the Moon

Map09
Title: Kawaii 808
Map Author: Danlex
Track Used: 'The Person Who Lives in the Water' from Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates

Map10
Title: Void Vignettes
Map Author: whybmonotacrab
Track Used: dfd2_ext.mid by Ribbiks

Map11
Title: Where the Rodents Thrive
Map Author: Fryuko
Track Used: Parade from Oldschool Runescape
Description: Hope you don't mind being part of an awesome crowd.
Pretty similar to most of my recent community maps just less forgiving.

Map12
Title: Heckers Checkers
Map Author: Rivi the Warlock
Track Used: Checker Dance by Shakionetcavy

Map13
Title: Lavender Brutality
Map Author: cannonball
Track Used: Maelstrom by Psyrus
Description: An experiment in using light colours such as grey to compliment the strong dominant hues of this wad. This turned out pretty well to be honest (Though Stardate 20x6 showed that light greys/purple work). This also proves that I can't really make super hard maps, though some might say that it is good thing. Unless there are last minute changes, consider this your point of no return when you drop down that pipe into the abyss.

Map14
Title: Deceivingly Cringe (This title took me 30 seconds to come up so it sucks)
Map Author: Nefelibeta
Track Used: Wishlist by Ribbiks
Description: Supposedly an "example map" before the project was even a thing. Pretty tough I'd say, and the fight with 6 arch-viles is really unfriendly.

Map15
Title: Bright Lights, Neon City
Map Author: Dubium
Track Used: Drips.mid by Stuart Rynn (originally made for Speed of Doom.)

Map16
Title: Be Magentle
Map Author: whybmonotacrab & CblBOPOTKA
Track Used: Infimum - Ribbiks
Description: Violetce. Middle sized indoor map with a predominance of violet accent color. Combines both cramped rooms and spacious arenas.

Map17
Title: Sequence 99
Map Author: Keagan Dunn
Track Used: "Epiphanies of the Lonely" - original bespoke track by Keagan Dunn
Description: A linear setpiece-to-setpiece journey - about your average Stardate 20x7 map in terms of length. There should be enough ammo to serve every fight without resorting to fists/pistol. Expect updates later on as difficulty settings are available but haven't been tested yet.

Map18
Title: Frozen Star Tower
Map Author: El Inferno
Track Used: Katana by Dragonfly
Description: tried to make something which I'll be able to max eventually; not sure if I succeeded :^)

Map19
Title: Quantum Supremacy
Map Author: CblBOPOTKA
Track Used: dfd5_r by Ribbiks
Description: Quite a big map with various fights and arenas, it is more like a straight slaughter but seasoned with spicy sauce (UV Max takes 25 min)

Map20
Title: Deeznuts
Map Author: Nefelibeta
Track Used: Nuts 3 by B.P.R.D
Description: Probably a inappropriate finale to this wad. Pretty easy until the rocket launcher fight. I do have to say I love purple.

Map21 (Credit map)
Map Author: Rivi the Warlock & Danlex
Track Used: Lantern by ShinkoNetCavy

Map31
Title: Easy as One, Two, Three
Map Author: Dubium
Track Used: dts_re.mid by Ribbiks

Map32
Title: Oku's Refuse II: Even More Negative
Map Author: Nefelibeta & El_Inferno
Track Used: Abiogenesis pt. II by Zach Siegel
Description: Everything I hate is slaughtermaps (and platforming) (especially when they are combined)
HMP - Removed all platforming section; HNTR - Removed all fights
