These files consist of the 3.11 patch for Quake2, compiled for
DEC Alpha AXP. This has NOT been thoroughly tested -- the
only test system used was an Enorex DEC AXP 500MHz system with
a Permedia P2. If you encounter problems, contact Brian Hook
at bwh@idsoftware.com

The unzipped files should be copied into your current Quake2
installation. If you wish to play the x86 version of Quake2
at a later date it is recommended that you backup your
existing QUAKE2.EXE, REF_SOFT.DLL, and REF_GL.DLL. The file
GAMEAXP.DLL must be copied into your QUAKE2\BASEQ2 directory
and will coexist with GAMEX86.DLL.

The only difference between 3.11 and 3.10 is that 3.11 was
fixing an exception problem that occurred occasionally when
the chaingun was fired.
