iF-22 by Interactive Magic version 3.3 27 October, 1997

This patch is split into two files for easier downloading,
iF22_p1a.zip and iF22_p1b.zip. You should run both files to
install the patch. If you did not install the game to the
default directory, you must specify the install directory
when unzipping the files.

Please note: Games saved under the original CD version of iF22
must be converted for use with the patched version of iF-22.
To make them compatible with the iF-22 Patch you need to follow
these steps:

1. If you haven't installed the patch yet, proceed directly to
Step 2. If you've already installed the Patch, uninstall the
entire game and reinstall only the unpatched, original,
version to the same directory. Your saved games remain in
the original install directory and are available to your
   newly reinstalled game.
2. Open a DOS window and change directories to the directory in
which you installed iF-22 (For example: cd\i-magic\F22).
3. From the DOS window, type "Set Rick=y" and press <Enter>.
4. From the DOS window, type iF22 and press <Enter>.
5. Resume each saved game you wish to use with the patched
version of iF-22 and re-save them under a different name using
the <Create New Save> option. When you're done exit iF-22.
6. Install the Patch.
7. Close the DOS window and run the game normally from the Start
Menu, a Shortcut, or by double clicking on iF22.exe from the
WIN95 Explorer. All of your altered saved game files now
work in the patched version of the game.

The original version of iF-22 is not compatible
with a network game created by a patched version of iF-22.
If you join a network session created by a different version of
the game one of two messages appears:

"Join request rejected due to version incompatibility" -
The session creator needs to install the latest patch before
 hosting the session.

"Join request rejected by %s!" - You need to install the latest
patch before attempting to join the network session.

Please note: We recommend that you do NOT use the "reduced RCS"
option. The original F-22 RCS was increased to make the game more
challenging and fun to play. Enabling the reduced RCS option makes
the game a bit too easy, in our opinion.
