              Diamond Mind Baseball League Directory
              --------------------------------------

This directory is provided as a service to customers who may be
interested in joining a face-to-face, play-by-mail, or
Internet-based league using Diamond Mind Baseball. Diamond Mind
does not operate leagues on its own or endorse any particular
league. The information in this directory is provided by the
commissioners of the respective leagues. No attempt has been
made to rank or rate the leagues -- the listings appear in the
order they were received by Diamond Mind.

NOTE: This information is current as of March 17, 1998. Because
new leagues can form at any time, and existing leagues can have
openings for new managers at any time, you should SEEK MORE
CURRENT INFORMATION BY VISITING THE DIAMOND MIND WEB SITE AT

"B.U.N.T." (Baseball Using the New Technology) is a 12-year-old Diamond
Mind Baseball league that moved into the high tech world of play-by-email
in 1997. We are a 20-team draft league with two five-team divisions in
each of two leagues, and we're looking to expand to 24 teams by the end
of 1998. If you like to play in a "no-nonsense" environment (cooperative,
responsible and reliable managers, with a dedicated and experienced league
office), this is the league for you. While our purpose is recreation, our
managers must keep in mind both the spirit and letter of league policies
and rules. This is responsible for the longevity and integrity of our
organization, and has helped create innumerable friendships over the years.

The IRBL, starting its 25th season in 1998, is a 28 team, 162 game season
draft league. Managers can download series results and newsletters from an
Internet web site or directly from the IRBL BBS. Managers send series
results via Internet email or directly to the IRBL BBS.

To simplify playing IRBL series using the DMB game and to simplify
distribution (and viewing) of IRBL Newsletters, IRBL documents, DMB
player files and series results, the 'IRBL Menu Program' has been
designed. Through the use of this program, all the scoresheets, boxscores,
series totals and export files for each series are all combined into one
unique file for easy transfer to the League Office. Each manager receives
a series total text file for each road series so the scoresheets, boxscores
and series statistics can easily be reviewed. Click on 'View IRBL
Documents' on the IRBL web site for more information.

The NEBULA League is the Grandfather of DMB play-by email leagues. We began
in 1993 (92 stats) with the first release of PTP allowing a computer
opponent. We began by sending files via modem to a BBS, but we're now on
the Internet with a dedicated ftp site and web page. Although there are
older leagues out there, we still believe we are the oldest DMB league in
existence formed specifically to exploit modem transfers and play-by-email.
At least 6 leagues have been started by current or former NEBULA managers.
We use the most current release of Diamond Mind available at the start of
our season. We play two three-game series per week, home manager plays,
visitor runs via manager profile. Head-to-head play either face-to-face or
via Netmeeting is encouraged. Normally, we don't have any open teams, but
we do keep a wait list which is based on how well we feel a manager will
enhance the league rather than by date received. We keep a large league
histor/records page and a team history/information page as well.

1988. The SWBA features three four-team divisions in the NL allowing the
pitcher to bat and three four-team divisions in the AL which uses the

Series. The SWBA has implemented an actual Major League schedule with a

the deck against LH pitchers, which results in much more realistic
performances by starting Southpaws. The finishing touch is put on every
season with a very informative yearbook.

start each of your teams from scratch. Drafts will be conducted over e-mail.
The league will feature an annual rookie draft, a league registry, a league
yearbook, and more. All home games will be played by a manager, not the
commissioner. The league will employ a web site. Dues will be $25 per year
($12.50 per team), with each manager having one team from each season.
Reductions in dues will occur for timely stat reporting, etc., and for
those managers who are with the league for 3 or more years.

strong! The BCBL started two decades ago, when Gary Carter was behind the

20 seasons. The BCBL consists of 24 teams that play a 168-game season
running April-November. Team and player ownership is continuous. Features
of the league include e-mail stat reporting, annual rookie draft, free agent
bidding, playoffs, annual yearbook, constitution, and the 3-day BCBL
convention in March where trophies are awarded to winners. DMB 7 is used.
