subdirectory of your Core Rules 2 installation.

Following is a list of corrections which can be found

Gladiator kit
   Checked the box 'May only select recommended
   Weapon Proficiencies at character generation'.

Jester Kit
   Added Half-Elves to the list of available races.

NWP Circular References Now Handled
   If one NWP gets a bonus if another NWP is taken, 
   and that other NWP gets a bonus if the first NWP
   is taken, the program will now calculate all the
   bonuses correctly.

Character Sheet Printouts
   To get the speed increase by 3 for the two-handed
   fighting style, the weapon must require two hands.

Character Sheet Printouts
   For the off-hand weapon, when using two weapons, 
   the rules say you only get one attack per round
   (ROF) for the off-hand weapon.

HTML Character Sheet Stats Mods
   This version of the character sheet was not
   recalculating the character's stats based on what
   items he was wearing.  ie. Str was not being
   adjusted when wearing Girdle of Storm Giant
   Strength. (Thanks David)

Changed Some Psionic Powers From Sciences to Devotions
   Some psionic powers were changed from sciences to
   devotions.

Psionicists and the Quaterstaff
    Quarterstaff now available to Psionicists who
    purchase the 10 CP Weapon use ability.

Robe of the Archmagi
    No longer sets the player's AC to 5.

Int Bonus for Warriors in WP
    Left over intelligence bonus points from the NWP
    screen will now be carried forward into
    the weapon proficiency screen for warriors.

Psionic Powers Sciences and Devotions Switched
    The following were sciences but should have been
    devotions:Stasis Field, Phase Object.
    The following were devotions but should have been
    sciences:Mindwipe.

Custom Priest Spell Help
    The custom help screen was not displaying priest
    spells.  Fixed it so that the help screen is
    displayed for custom priest spells.

Custom Spell Help
    Added spell characteristics to the custom
    spell help screen.

Gave Bards Free NWPs
    Gave Bards the following NWPs for free:
    'Local History', 'Musical Instrument',
    'Reading/Writing', 'Singing'.

Fixed the encumbance table for strength of 25
    The min was more than the max for heavy and
    severe encumbrance.

Sorted the printing of NWPs
    Sorted the NWPs in the character sheet 
    printouts to make them look more organized.

Fixed spelling errors in descriptions.
    Class Abilities: Druid, Secret Languages:
    'Tongue', Fighter, Leadership:'Knowledge',
    Warrior, Limited Armor (-5 and -10):'Heavier',
    Disadvantages: Bad Temper:'Knowledge',
    Traits: Alertness:'Surprise', Lucky:'Character'
    and 'Successful'.

Racial Abilities Movement Modifiers
    Previously, the racial abilities movement modifiers
    were not being factored into the character's
    movement score.  Now they are.

HTML Character Sheet
    Some HTML viewers (like Word) displayed the HTML
    character sheet tables in a narrow band instead
    of spread out across the page.
    Fixed the generated HTML attributes so their
    values are enclosed in quotes. 

NWP Language Selection Bugs
    When choosing secondary skills and opening and
    closing the Languages dialog box, the secondary
    skills refreshed with NWPs even though the
    secondary skills button was still pressed.
    Removing the incorrectly displayed NWPs caused a
    gpf.  Similarly, if a Skills & Powers character,
    returning from the Languages dialog box would
    cause Traits and Disadvantages to be either
    doubled or lost.  All these related bugs were fixed.

Character Sheet Printout
    Secondary skills will now print instead of NWPs
    when the character is using secondary skills.

Encounters - 2-20 Table Filtering
    Fixed the filtering feature.  Lair vs. Wandering
    choices were being ignored.

NWP - Languages - Human, Regional dialect.
    When generating a new character the language
    'Human, Regional dialect' will be given instead
    of 'Regional' to humans, half-orcs, half-ogres,
    and half-elves.

Character Sheet Printout
    Fixed the overprinting of text and page number on
    the printouts.

Character Sheet Printout
    Added an option to view the html character sheet
    after it has been generated.

Character Sheet Printout
    Added a new section named 'Weapons - Primary and
    Offhand' to show the modified THAC0 and damage
    when two or more weapons are held.  The regular
    weapons section shows the normal THAC0 and damage
    as if the character had only one weapon.

Character Sheet Printout
    Lowered the Weapon Speed Factor by 3 when the
    character has the Two-Handed Weapon fighting
    style and the weapon is weilded with two hands.

Encounter Generation from 2-20 Table
    Before this fix it was doubling the number of
    standard items assigned to the monster when you
    generated an encounter from the 2-20 tables.  
    The encounter module adds the standard monster
    items to your encounter for the exact number and
    kind of monsters you place in the encounter.  
    The 2-20 generation was adding an additional set
    of the correct monster items in for the initial
    group of monsters but these items wouldn't get 
    adjusted up or down as you changed the number of
    monsters in your encounter.

Character Sheet Printout
    Added the character's age to the personal section
    of the character sheet.

Orphan sub-races.
    Now when a custom race with sub-races is deleted,
    the program will do a better job of removing all
    the sub-races for that race.

    Patch 2, Release bugfix 1 (2.201pr)

Clerics granted spells over 3rd level print again
    A bug had entered causing the "Spells Granted"
    section of character sheets to omit spells over
    3rd level. Fixed.

    Patch 2, Release (2.20pr)

Mages can now learn 1st-3rd level priest spells
    A bug had entered prohibiting mages with the
    Priestly Wizard advantage from learning 1st-3rd
    level priest spells. Fixed.

    Patch 2, Beta 2 (2.12b2)

"Dwarf, Detect Poison" no longer modifies saving throws
    The ability "Dwarf, Detect Poison" had been
    incorrectly modifying saving throws vs. poison.

Cleric spells no longer duplicate
    If a clerical spell was in a sphere with minor
    access and a different sphere with major access,
    the spell would appear twice in the lists on the
    Memorization page. Fixed.

Humans can dual class again
    A bug slipped in the previous build which removed
    the ability of human characters to dual class.

Dual Class option for custom races correctly updates
    Selecting 'Dual Class' for a custom race had
    worked, but when the race was edited, the check
    box would be cleared. Fixed.

Improved HTML export of characters
    Improved HTML, in particular HTML files look
    better when imported to MS Word.

Fixed Robe of Archmagi so it has an AC like armor

Map Links preserved correctly in Import/Export.

Dragging bundles on Equipment screen.
    Now only counts weight of actual items moved.

DMG Table 43. Now getting correct wrestling results.

Dual class THAC0 fixed
    Dual class THAC0 was incorrect if the earlier
    classes where higher level than later classes.
    Corrected.

Random spell scrolls fixed
    Spell scrolls with a spell level range of 1 level
    (1-1, or 2-2) in the treasure tables crashed the
    program. Spells of the lowest level in the range
    were never generated. Both are fixed.

Removed the 5th level prerequisite from Heightened
Senses.

Racial ability bonus to damage.
    Was doubling damage. Fixed.

Count items.
    Eliminated error message when moving item on
    equipment page.

Specialization bonus.
    No specialization bonus given for characters with
    both expertise and weapon of choice.

Missile damage
    Removed erroneous Kit Weapon adj. for Ammo items.

2 - 20 encounter table
    Changed the roll from 2d10 to 1d8 + 1d12

Psychic Blade changed from Clairsentient to Telepathic

Summon Planar Energies psionic power is Psychoportive,
not Clairsentient

Burning Hands wizard spel is elemental fire, not
elemental air

Fixed typos in database descriptions
    Fixed typos in descriptions for some class
    abilities, traits, and disadvantages.

Paladins now recieve Divination, not Creation

Find the Path/Lose the Path now divination sphere

Short swords are now in the "Swords: Short" tight group

Boccob's Blessed Book can not hold spells

Fixed Invulnerability to Normal Weapons spelling
    It had been incorrectly "Invunlerablity".

Mental Armor applies bonus to MAC
    Mental Armor now applies an appropriate bonus to
    MAC.

Specialist wizards now only have intelligence as prime
requisite
    Specialist wizards did have all attributes with
    minimum scores listed as prime requisites. This
    isn't correct as is fixed.

Song school entered for spells
    Spells in the school of song had not been marked
    as such. Fixed.

    Remastered CD-ROM (2.1)

Map Maker II cursor bugs.
    Placing a hidden object prompted user to make the
    object visible. If user response was no, cursor
    stayed hidden and drag rectangle functioned
    improperly. Also, when creating a new map or
    opening a map with an object selected (text,
    encounter, object etc.), Map Maker II would not
    refresh (erase the selected rectangle) properly
    upon creation or opening of the new map until the
    user began editing.

Page help
    Added help to screen "Nonplayer Characters in this
    Encounter"

    Added Int bonus to MTHACO for Psionicists and Wild

Corrected custom NWPs

Map Maker II re-size bug.
    Re-size while placing encounters sometimes caused
    crash.

Psionicist class abilities corrected
    Psionicists had been getting the wrong "Followers"
    class ability, and not getting Mental Defense.
    Fixed.

    The link to the Evermore Entertainment web
    changed.

Sling of Seeking.
    changed # hands needed to 1.

Class Abilities
    Mental Defense now grants +2 bonus to MAC.

Specialist missile weapon rate of fire corrected
    The program now correctly handles rate of fire for
    specialists for missile weapons.

Unarmed Combat
    Update character should now handle Unarmed Combat
    costs correctly. Characters which would normally
    not be allowed Unarmed Combat in Update may now
    select Unarmed Combat.

Fighting style specializations now print in the weapon
proficiency section.

Backstab has better description
    The description for backstab on printouts is now
    clearer.

Character Management
    The Player's name has been added to the character
    summary on the character management screen.

Export
    Removed "Class Abilities", "Monster Attacks", and
    "Weapon Proficiencies" from the export list.

Weapon Proficincies
    Broad Groups and Tight Groups returned during
    character creation now give back Character Points.
    (Even if the user has gone to another screen and
    then returned)

Thri-kreen racial ability racial weapons description
fixed
    The racial ability "Thri-kreen, Racial weapons"
    had the wrong description.

Character generation, High-color bitmap crash.
    Bitmaps selected containing more than 256 colors
    generate a warning message, then fail gracefully.

Custom races, High-color bitmap crash.
    Bitmaps selected containing more than 256 colors
    generate a warning message, then fail gracefully.

Can print kit descriptions
    Kit descriptions were added as an option for
    character sheets.

Fixed typo in turning undead information
    Printouts incorrectly indicated that the player
    needed to roll under the score. The player
    actually should roller greater than or equal to
    the score.

Custom information for racial abilities
    Racial abilities can now select custom NWPs and
    custom WPs.

Magical Items
    New Magical items now have access to ability score
    adjustments.

Weapons, Carry
    Custom Weapons can now select the "This Item can
    be Carried in a Container" check.

Allow Gnomes to be Alchemists.

Shadow Walk changed from Science to Devotion.

MAP MAKER II, Farm/mini-map bug fixed.
    Farms now appear on mini-map.

MAP MAKER II, About box bug
    About box and credits window now disable editing
    in Map Maker II when opened from within the Map
    Maker II.

Weapons, Containing Silver
    Custom Weapons can now select the "Contains
    Silver" check.

Custom Spells help
    Added help for Custom Spells to equipment and
    treasure screens.

Custom "Money" and "Count" items
    Can add custom "Money" and "Count" items to
    treasure bundles.

Movement rates on printout corrected
    Movement rates for an encumbered character were
    incorrect. Fixed.

Weapons, Custom Proficiencies
    Added custom Weapons Proficiencies to the
    available list.

Schools, Custom
    Added custom Schools to the available opposition
    lists.

Character Kits, Custom
    Added custom Traits to the available lists.

Can now restrict mages from kits, weapons, and more
    Previously, you could restrict kits, weapons, and
    other equipment from all classes except mages.
    Mages have been added.

Saving throws for high level characters corrected
    Saving throws for characters who had advanced
    beyond the last level given were not correct.
    Fixed.

Skills & Powers characters with low ablity scores
receive NWP cost penalties
    Skills & Powers characters with subability scores
    below 9 in related scores for NWPs receive the
    appropriate cost penalty now.

Rangers and Paladins can change spheres
    Skills & Powers rangers and paladins can now
    customize their spheres in Update and Enter.

Non-weapon proficiency bonuses correctly stored
    NWPs which recieved bonuses from other standard
    NWPs and traits would "forget" about the bonus if
    the NWP was opened in the custom data editor.
    Fixed.

No longer can set ability scores over 25
    It was possible to set ability scores over 25 when
    entering scores, causing problems. This is fixed.

Trait "Keen Touch" thief skill adjustments corrected
    Keen Touch had been giving incorrect adjustments
    for thief skills. This is fixed.

Trait "Music/Singing" cost corrected
    It was incorrectly 4 CPs, it is now 5 CPs.

HTML export now supports sections like printout
    Individual sections can be exported or duplicated,
    just like the printout. The only section not
    supported is the Character Portrait.

Psionic Attacks
    A character must now have the NWP Contact to
    purchase Psionic Attacks

Character Kits, Custom
    Added custom NWPs and Weapon Proficiencies to the
    available lists.

Class abilties for Core Rules characters now print in
HTML

Elves, Gnomes, and Half-elves can now be psionicists

NWP slots for Core Rules characters
    NWP slots when updating Core Rules characters had
    been incorrectly tracked. This is corrected.

Spell Memorization
    Clerics memorizing the same spell multiple times
    no longer have the extra copies disappear when
    re-entering the memorization page.

Help files
    Added help for "Count" items to treasure and
    inventory trees.

Tumbling
    Added +2 for unarmed THAC0

Encounter Templates
    Dependent monsters with the "For Every" selection
    will now only appear in the encounter if there are
    at least the "For Every" number of monsters in the
    encounter.

Current encumbrance printed
    The character's current encumbrance is now shown
    in the "Encumbrance and Movement" section of the
    character sheet. This only works if the Inventory
    screen for that character has been visited at
    least once, and exited that screen using "Finish"
    (not "Cancel").

Character sheet printing options are stored
    When printing a character sheet, the sections to
    be printed are now stored for future printing or
    viewing.

Unneeded printing memory allocation removed
    When printing character sheets, a small amount of
    memory was allocated and not returned. As a
    result, the program slowly grew bigger as more
    character sheets were printed. This is corrected.

Psionic Attacks and Defenses
    Added support for Psionic Attacks and Defenses.

Map Maker II
    Re-size of map could result in partial objects on
    the map. Map Maker II now removes any text,
    encounters or objects that are not totally on the
    map after a re-size.

Printer Issues
    Printing of character sheets (especially the
    "Character Portrait" and "Proficiency" sections)
    has been made more robust. Many printer whose
    drivers had problems should now work.

Encumbrance
    Encumbrance and movement rate is now an option for
    printouts.

Racial Focus.
    Added help to page.

gunpowder.
    Added popup help.

Equipment restrictions.
    Fixed incorrect restrictions on equipment
    purchased by Psionists.

NPC Alignment
    Made alignments more reasonable.

Map Maker II
    Print default settings match current settings in
    the view.

HTML Saving throws corrected
    Saving throws on HTML didn't take class abilties
    or inventory into account. It now does.

"Count" items
    Added help support for "Count" type items
    (charges, doses, patches, etc.)

Transportation equipment items
    Smoothed out what can be dragged to them and where
    they can be dragged.

Custom races with no dice type for weight crash fixed
    Trying to generate a character using a custom race
    which didn't specify the die to be rolled for
    height, weight, or age crashed the program. This
    was fixed.

NPCs
    Made it harder to get magic armor. Added
    adjustment to Prime Requisites.

Map Maker II
    "Invalid overlay area" bug(s) fixed. Deleting
    certain objects from a saved overland map would
    cause the red "invalid overlay area" box to
    display in areas which were clearly valid areas.
    On a related note, if the "invalid overlay area"
    box was being displayed as another map was being
    created or opened, the "invalid" box would remain
    until an overlay object was selected by the user.
    These fixes will NOT affect previously saved maps.

Psionicist Combat Bonus fixed
    The class ability "Psionicist, Combat Bonus (10)"
    had not been working. It should now work
    correctly.

    Patch 1, Beta 2 (2.01b2)

Gorgimera monster type fixed
    Gorgimera monster type changed from Gorgon to
    Chimera.

Encounter Templates and Monster information
    More complete special attack and defense
    information has been added, so the encounter
    printouts now contain more information. (Aarakocra
    through Dragon, White have been updated for Beta
    Patch 2. More information will be added for the
    release version of the patch)

Wall of Fog school fixed.
    Wall of Fog had not been correctly added to the
    school of Evocation. This is fixed.

Monster Attack screen help
    Revised text.

CD-ROM drive detection
    The program will now try to verify that the copy
    protection files are on the CD-ROM and that the
    CD-ROM is in your CD-ROM drive. If you were
    previously able to start Core Rules 2.0 without
    the CD-ROM in your CD-ROM drive, there is now a
    chance that you will need the CD-ROM.

Ranger "Find/Remove Wilderness Traps" skill fixed
    A ranger with this ability reported errors when
    trying to print (and do other things). This is
    corrected. Rangers made before this patch will not
    be corrected, only newly created rangers.

Fixed mage scroll that got priest spells
    One of the mage scrolls in the treasure roller got
    priest spells instead of mage spells. Fixed.
    (TREASURE.DAT!) For end users to "appreciate" this
    patch, once the new TREASURE.DAT is installed,
    they'll need to "DM Toolkit"-> "Treasure"->"Edit
    Treasure Tables", select "DMG 90a: Scrolls, Spell,
    Wizard" and click "Restore". This will clobber any
    changes they made to this table.

Fixed treasure rolling crash with custom spells
    If the user had custom spells in the database, and
    rolled treasure, there was a chance (which
    increased as the number of custom spells
    increased) that the treasure roller would crash.
    It is fixed.

Combat Bonus for Mage and Specialist
    Added to database for specialist. The Rogue Thac0
    chart is now used for both.

Encounter Special attacks/defenses
    Special attacks and defenses (entered in the
    "attacks" section of the monster) are now printed
    encounter printout.

Map Maker II
    "Map links active" setting is saved.

Dice Roller
    The dice roller no longer required oleaut32.dll.

Changed Click sound for buttons.

Fixed encumbrance for armor.

"Elemental, All" Sphere working correctly
    Database (Spells.dat) Put elemental priest spells
    into "Elemental, All" sphere.

"Psionicist, Warrior Hit Point Bonus (10)" now works
    The ability had not been working. It now does.

Saving throw bonuses
    Changed the wording on the Custom Racial Ability
    screen to clarify negative values as bonuses.

Free NWPs are automatically given in Create Character
    Free NWPs (Ranger/Tracking, Psionicist/Contact,
    Beggar Kit) used to simply set the cost to 0, but
    the user still had to "buy" it. In "Create
    Character", these NWP are now purchased
    automatically.

Psionics get Contact for free
    Psionics get Contact (NWP) for free if they have
    either Contact class ability.

Fixed Bugbear and Brownie help.

Fixed export of spells
    When a character export included spells, there was
    a chance that the custom spell list would become
    corrupted, crashing the program. This is fixed.

Added help for Character Kits.

Added Contact (5) to Psionicist package.

Added right click support for ComboBoxes.
    Some combo boxes (drop lists), how have right
    click help.

Barrel
    Corrected help for Barrel equipment.

Bone Armor
    Changed AC from 6 to 7.

Psionic Powers Help
    Corrected help for some powers.

Hoizontal Scroll
    Added horizontal scrolling to listboxes in the
    custom weapon proficiency screen.

Weapon Group Summary.
    Added a summary for weapon groups in the custom
    weapon proficiency screen.

CP problems with NWPs and Traits
    Removing NWPs and Traits in "Update Character"
    would appear to incorrectly update CPs. In
    reality, when NWPs and Traits were purchased, the
    character actually didn't spend _any_ CPs,
    although it appeared that he did. This is fixed.

Bard get wrong number of WPs
    In Core Rules, bards had been getting 3 WP slots
    at start. They should have only gotten 2. This is
    fixed.

Horizontal Scrolling for NWPs
    Added horizontal scrolling to listboxes on the
    Character NWP screen.

NWP Name Length
    Added a 50 character limit to the names of
    Non-weapon proficiencies. Allowing the user to
    create a longer name created other problems.

NWP Rating Bonuses
    Added custom Traits and custom NWPs to the drop
    lists for NWP Rating Bonuses.

Two-weapon +2 fighting style
    Adjusted cost to include extra point for
    purchasing original Two-Weapon style.

Slippers of Spider Climbing
    Now no adjustment to STR.

Short Sword of Quickness
    "Sword, Short of Quickness" now uses the short
    sword proficiency.

Spell Scroll, Wizard and Spell Scroll, Priest
    Changed weight to .1 so more would fit in scroll
    case

Map Maker II counter-clockwise rotate
    Right-click menu, "rotate counter-clockwise" bug
    fixed.

Map Maker II multiple map export
    Export of multiple maps bug fixed.

Character Conversions (Character History)
    Character History is now included in the
    conversion from CRI to CRII.

    during spell creation.

Map Maker II
    Intermittent crash associated with font attributes
    (Font name, font size, Bold, Italic, Underline)
    for encounter objects fixed.

    User setting for map link state (Active/Inactive)
    is saved.

Scout kit
    Percent of starting funds allowed is now 100.

Encounter Template crash (Example: Human Knights)
    Fix the problem with encounter templates crashing
    when there are items in a template and no
    Monsters.

Exceptional Strength
    18/00 strength is maintained after leaving ability
    score adjustment screen.

Gloves of Missile Snaring
    Now no adjustment to STR.

AC Defense Bonus (class ability)
    Allow bonus only once even if character has
    purchased for more than one class.

Magical Exceptional Strength
    Grant exceptional strength to races which normally
    would not be allowed exceptional strength IF they
    have a magical item which grants exceptional
    strength.

Weapon Proficiency costs for Psionicists
    Weapon proficiencies which are supposed to be
    available to Psionicists are now available. Ones
    which are not supposed to be available are marked
    as NA.

Ring of Human Influence
    Now Adjusts Charisma to 18, instead of adding 18
    to Charisma.

Cannot raise hitpoints in dual class
    Dual class characters whose primary class was
    higher than or equal to their later classes
    couldn't raise their hit points. This was
    corrected.

Encumbrance with Armor proficiency
    Only 1/2 of armor weight counts toward encumbrance
    if proficient.

    data to allow choice of any existing equipment
    bitmap in program.

THAC0 when using 2 weapons
    No longer allow bonuses for Dex & Ambidextrous to
    exceed amount of penalty.

Custom Weapons shooting ammo
    Put custom weapons back into the list which allows
    them to be selected as the weapon which fires
    ammo.

Custom Spell Conversion
    When a CRI mage is converted, any custom spells in
    his spellbooks will be added to the new database.
    When a CRI Priest is converted, any custom spells
    he has memorized will be added to the new
    database.

Custom Racial Abilities
    Now able to have the custom ability adjust Ability
    Scores.

Elf, Resistance shows up as option
    The racial ability "Elf, Resistance (10)" now
    shows up as an option for elves with no sub-race.

Exporting
    Encounters added to MapMaker maps after the first
    save will now export with the map file. They will
    also show up in the summary of the map.
