List of improvements

Multiplayer:

-	Gun damage in multiplayer game is shown correctly both for client and server players
-	Multiplayer lag time shorten
-	Icons above ships are shown correctly in multiplayer game both for client and server players
-	Number of players on server in "Find Multiplayer Game" window  is shown correctly

General improvements:

-	Game options settings work properly 
-	3D people on the deck option works correctly


All the improvements of  1.1; 1.5; 1.52; 1.53 updates are included in version 1.54

Features and fixes:

- Smoke appears at the proper side
- Reverse side damage corrected
- Game options work correctly
- Sails damage improved


Multiplayer game 

- Multiplayer game more stable
- Client player drop off message updated
- Splashes are visible both for host and client
- Internet registration check box improved
- Players quantity on server is shown correctly
 

New features:
- Loading bar before multiplayer battle

The core.log file is located in the AoS2 directory, for example, the
default directory for aos2 installation is C:\Program Files\TalonSoft\AOS2
In that case the path for core.log file will be C:\Program Files\TalonSoft\AOS2\core.log

In Windows explorer you might not probably see this file if the "show all
files" option is not enabled. To turn it on you should run Explorer, and
than open View menu in it; than open Folder Options. In Folder Options
switch to View bookmark and click on Show all files check box, than press ok.


 


Age of Sail II Update - V1.52

Features and fixes:

- multiplayer lag time shorten 

- lag time during boarding in multiplayer shorten 

- multiplayer chat window improved 

- smoke visible again 

- sails an rigging damage correctly both in autofire and manual fire 

- quick save and quick load (F6, F7) action improved 

- "find multiplayer game" window works properly 

- AI is a bit more active and aggressive during multiplayer battles 

new feature: loading bar, shows loading progress before every battle in single game 

BTW, all the improvements of previous updates (1.1, 1.5, 1.51) are included in v. 1.52 as well. 




Age of Sail II Update - V1.51

Features and fixes:

Crashes on some computers after loading fixed.

Age of Sail II Update - V1.50

This update includes all improvements, added features, and tech
support issues addressed in V1.01 including "FIGHTING ADMIRAL SATAN"
campaign, so you don't need update 1.01 anymore.


- Improved Ship List 'scrolling'

Ship list sometimes didn't scroll correctly in old version.

- Cannon's Recharge improved:
           Left Mouse Button - Change Next Type
           Right Mouse Button - Reload

- Icons on ship improved 

Sometimes icons crawl over player's name.

- Chat window feature during battle added

- Ships will change flag in campaign by side, not by nationality

Captured ships now should carry player's side flag.

- Guns Repair issue addressed 

Guns can be repaired during battle. Please note that crew have small
ability to fix damaged guns, so only few guns can be repaired.

- Many AI improvements 

Now AI try to turn it loaded side to enemy.

- AI much more aggressive 

- "End" feature (E-key) feature improved

Bug when game didn't end after all ships sunk or surrendered fixed.

- setup.exe in the game folder can give ability to user to select
video card if more than one video card installed in computer

This feature will allow users with old daughter cards like Voodoo 2
play the game. It can also switch off all intro movies.

- completely new ships pathfinding

Pathfinding feature using by AI very often when AI need to set new
direction for any ship. Now it is faster about 10 times, no lockups
(there was one or two scenarios were old pathfinding lock up some
computers).

- fix in shot system

Bug were found that AI ships and ships with autofire one sometimes
didn't shoot to enemy if friendly ship is gun range too. Ships should
not fire to enemy ship if friendly ships is in front of enemy.

- Gamespy parameters command line support

Gamespy arcade:
   '-host': tell the game to go straight to a staging room as the host
   of a game, and wait for clients to connect to it.

   '-join <IP>': launch the game as a connecting client and attempt to
   connect to the host at the given IP address, in order to enter that staging
   room.

   '-name "<playername>"' specify name of theplayer. NOTE: name should be quoted

   Examples:
       AOS2launch.exe -host -name "John Doe"
       AOS2launch.exe -join 123.111.222.111 -name "Enola Gay"


- multiplayer - better tasks synchronization

- when surrendered ships captured flag should be changed to side
that put a prize crew and icon that ship is captured displayed

- all known problems with Voodoo 3 fixed - black gunrange, missing
splashes, white windows

- repair task

- save & load including campaigns

Bug fixed that sometimes it was impossible to load previously saved
game.

- ships capturing (including surrendered ships) and ability to buy
them in their future

- New icon for surrendered ships

- New icon for captured ships

- Gamespy logo on find internet game window
