Monday, June 26, 2000 HyperX.exe Version 1.0.0.1

Here is a list of the fixes for HyperBlade:

[1] Will detect 3D accelerator hardware and use textures by default. Typing -x on the command line will force software mode. Note that this is opposite of the original version.

[2] Bug that causes "flashing" when rearview camera is used is fixed.

[3] Changed rearview camera surface to align properly on 4-byte boundary (faster).

[4] Win2K bug that caused GDI text to show up as black boxes is fixed.
NOTE: THIS DOES NOT MEAN THAT HYPERBLADE HAS BEEN FULLY TESTED AGAINST WINDOWS2000 AND THERE MAY BE OTHER BUGS RELATED TO THIS OS.

[5] Bug fixed so that the -w command line will run the app in a window.

Installation:
All you need to do is replace the HyperX.exe in the HyperBlade program folder with this new exe. We suggest making a copy of the original HyperX.exe file before replacing it, however, you can always get the original from the CD. WizBang Software suggests running the game directly from the HyperX.exe instead of the launcher provided by Activision.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE -X COMMAND LINE OPTION HAS CHANGED IN THIS PATCH. IF YOU ARE USING THE -X COMMAND LINE OPTION TO FORCE DETECTION OF YOUR 3D CARD MAKE SURE TO REMOVE IT SINCE THIS IS NOW THE DEFAULT BEHAVIOR.
