Beta 1.2 Notes
==============
Beta 1.2 is a big change to the game.  Weapons all have new damage and accuracy models, which
means that some weapons are less powerful than they were while others are more
powerful.  The main thing most players will notice is that accuracy gets progressively worse 
the longer you fire, as indicated by the size of the aiming reticle.  To shoot more accurately,
fire in short, controlled bursts... now you know why they say this in the movies.

A number of changes have been made to prediction, which should result in smoother gameplay.
In addition, we've spent a lot of time rationalising and optimising network traffic, so
lag should be less of a problem, even on pings over 300.  The game is quite playable now with
a ping of 500 (although you'll need to be smarter than your opponents :).

Some tips for having more fun in beta1.2:

* the sniper rifle is designed for sniping; snipers without support or who rely only
  on the rifle will prolly die... and camping *is* allowed if you snipe.
* fire in short, controlled bursts
* turn off your laser sight when looking for prey so you don't spook them
* shoot their legs and then go for the headshot: slow players are easier to hit
* the beretta 0wnz j00: use it, and click a lot :)
* have firefights underwater because the sounds are worth it.
* the NVGs make maps darker but are really useful once you get used to them
* run around a lot to avoid bullets, but stop or walk to improve accuracy when shooting
* G36s have decent accuracy at range, but if you like to spam, use the UMP becase the .45
  bullet might be hard to shoot straight, but when it hits, it sure leaves a mark
* zooming DOES NOT automatically improve accuracy any more, but it will help you hit your
  target and you will swear that accuracy was improved when you zoomed
* the PSG-1 is dead-accurate if you fire it when you are still.  
* if your ping is high (say 500) then it will take a full second from your click
  until your bullet hits its mark.  To improve your chances of getting a frag, don't
  aim at the target, but try to aim where they'll be in a second's time.  You'd be
  surprised how predictable some people are :)

 we have changed the urban terror commands
 to be prefixed with ut_.  So opendoor is
 now ut_opendoor, zoomin is ut_zoomin
 Also: bandage and reload are not +button
 commands.  All this can be bound in the 
 Settings->Controls menu

Beta 1.2 Fixes

Sounds
[X] Double knife sound on swing is fixed.
[X] Head shot noise now plays relative to the player that got hit, not to the player who shot

Models

[X] Bullets should not hit team members in non-ff mode.
[X] Fixed issue with frags of -1 when joining a team when the round has already started
[X] Fixed display of which team won to report correctly 
[X] When map cycles everyone starts game in spectator mode
[X] Teammates name and health now appears in bottom right when you put your cursor on them
[X] Teammates health now shows in scoreboard if they are alive
[X] Capture limit now works for team survivor mode (capture limit is the number of team wins)

Miscellaneous
[X] amended arenas.txt to allow selection of UT maps

Weapons and Combat
[X] Made "close" range to within 4m (128 units) of player
[X] Reduced and capped bleedrates
[X] Weapon modifications
	- Range damage sensitivity now works on a sliding scale
	- UMP does more damage close than at range
	- G36 now does more damage at range than UMP, but less when close
	- Beretta does less damage
	- Shotgun now hurts a lot more, has decreased reload time
	- Beretta made less accurate
	- Accuracy gets worse the longer you fire weapon (bursts are better)
	- Alt fire mode does not actually decrease spread anymore (since bursts do) but you
	  still get a benefit from using it because it helps you by shooting off 1 shot (burst)
	  The new spread/fire time system makes the old way fo doing alt fire obsolete
	- Completely rewrote the recoil system
[X] Reduced accuracy of sniper rifle when player is moving

[X] If player disconnects with laser on the laser entity is now removed from the world

Network
[X] Only primary weapon(s) dropped on frag to minimise network traffic (beretta and knife not dropped)
[X] Fixed prediction bug that cause a delay when shooting

Cvars
[X] Intermission time was turned into a cvar
[X] Warmup time can be set through a cvar


1.2 Known Issues
================

[ ] Console commands (including binds to opendoor, etc, which run console commands cause
    Urban Terror to crash on Macs :(  1.3 will fix this, with the Id 1.25 point release
[ ] Bots sometimes get stuck if two bots are on opposite sides of a door
[ ] Bots don't know they can smash breakable objects
[ ] Round time still ticks down when waiting for players
[ ] sometimes players still get stuck on ledge climb
[ ] sometimes players still get stuck on round start
