Hi, this is Suislide. Inside this gem of a file are 3 more zip files.
If you are reading this then you know how to unzip something, so we are
past that. Throughout the evolution of Action Quake we have added
more and more features, and have been forced to add new commands for
these features. This poses a problem to the average Quake player. He/She
has to make a custom configuration to do things like bandage, or He/SHe
will not have much fun with our mod.

A a solution to this problem I have produced 3 different examples
of proper Action Quake configurations. Each of these is aimed at a specific
group of players. Basic.cfg is aimed at those who may not know much about
configuration files for Quake2. Advanced is for people who think they know
what they are doing. Veryadvanced is almost exactly like my own personal
setup, and is therefore pretty darn hard to understand. I am sure that you
know which one of these groups you fall into. I recommend you look at all
of the files, but use the one that you feel most comfortable with customizing.
None of these files were intended to be used as is. I doubt any of you use
the exact movement keys, etc. that are in the files. I urge you to find a
setup you are comfortable with and edit one of these files to your liking.
Note: These are only examples, and are not strict guidlines. Do what you
want, it is a free country/mod. Just please do not cheat by setting your
Gl settings up way high or snything like that.

 ---------=========:::::::INSTALLING!!!!::::::::::========--------

To install these files you simply extract the zip you think is appropriate
for you. Then you edit the file until you feel comfortable with it.
There are notes within the files to help you with doing this.
(Remeber that you can always change and expand it later.) You then
rename the file to autoexec.cfg and place it in your action directory.

This would most typically be
C:\quake2\action\

The file will automatically load every time you play Action Quake.
I also recommend you make an autoexec.cfg for all your mods, and even
for regular old Quake2. You would be surprised how much it can help.
