ETERNAL ARENA
Website: http://www.q3center.com/ea

INSTALLATION
Unzip all the files into /quake3/eternal folder, or where you installed quake3, then choose to run it from the mods menu within the game.

If you unzip the files staright into your quake3/baseq3 folder then this will replace your existing menu with my new one, and add all the features listed. Make sure that this is the last numbered pak file. ie: pak0, pak1, pak2, and pak9_eternal, so that my menu is the last pak that quake3 will read and then implement my menu over the original. MOVE ANY EXISTING QAGAME.DLL, CGAME.DLL, or UI.DLL OR ANY OTHER MODS OUT OF YOUR QUAKE3 DIRECTORY!!!! if you wish to run EA this way. If you want to get rid of my mod, then just delete the pak9_ea files from your /quake3/baseq3 or /quake3/eternal folder.

PURE SERVERS OFF
You MUST have the "PURE SERVERS SWITCHED OFF" to play Eternal Arena, or the game will kick you back to the menu. Thats why in from version2.2, I have set the game to automatically choose "pure servers off", this should save my forum from being flooded with people saying that the mod just kicks them back to the menu.

ETERNAL OPTIONS MENU
All the features in EA are accessible from the Eternal Options menu, which is on the main menu, the setup menu and from the in-game menu.

ETERNAL GAMEMODES MENU
All the gamemodes can be easily selected from the gamemodes menu, theres no configs or scripts to mess around with, its all coded into the game, and all the gamemodes can be played across any exisiting gametype too.

Here's a quick description of each current gamemode that you can choose in Eternal Arena. All the gamemodes are playable across any of the exisiting gametypes, so you can create unnique and fun combinations of your favourite games.

Instagib Rails
You spawn only carrying a Railgun but you have plenty of ammo, and the railgun does so much damage that each shot will always gib your opponent. All items, weapons & ammo have been disabled.

Rocket Duel
Spawn in just carrying the Rocket Lanucher with lots of ammo. All items, weapons & ammo have been disabled.

Frenzy
Run faster, Jump higher, Weapon fire rate has increased in this fast and frantic, frag frenzy.

LowGrav
Mostly like the normal game, although the gravity has been reduced so hoping around like a mad march hare is out, and people starting flying around more when shot.

Telefrag Rails
This mode is identical to the Instagib Rails mode, although when you shoot and hit your opponent you will teleport over to where he stands, and because you can't have 2 people on 1 spot, he gets fragged, but leaving you on the other side of the map now!

Full Load
All are equal in this gamemode, everyone starts off with all weapons and unlimited ammo, so its purely a test of skill, no complaining that their favourite weapon wasn't available.

Timebomb
The idea is to stay alive, you stat with only 60 health, and it counts down 1 each second, so no camping and there's no health in the arena. If you score a frag your health is reset to 60 again, but if your health counts all the way down to 0 you explode in a shower of gibs and blood.

Pain Factor
This game plays as normal, except for the fact that you don't score any frags, but your score is based on the damage you inflict, and is shown by multicoloured score plumes.

Hunted
When the game starts a player is chosen as the "hunted" the rest are the "hunters" and they only score if they kill the hunted, if they kill each other they get a penalty. Once the hunted has been killed another player is chosen and everyone chases them... and so on.

Air Frag
This mode is identical to the Instagib Rails mode, although when you shoot and hit your opponent he is launched into the air before exploding into a shower of gibs.

Vampire
The idea is to stay alive, by sucking the life from others by causing them damage. You health is counting down 1 each second, so you must damage others and as you do, their pain is added to your health. Vampires that gain enough health to with 50 of the g_vampiremax set, will glow red.
