Description : In a secret desert location, buried into the scorching sands, lies
an arena purposely built by General Peckinpah to entertain select
guests. Here the best warriors are taken in the cold night,
after months of elite training, to fight to the death.

Escape is futile. The victor is mercifully killed.

At the end of the night, money changes hands, and aircraft fly
home. No filming takes place. This isn't Liandri. This is
			  purely private entertainment.

Author's Notes
--------------
This level was "Made In England"

So-called "Quake3" textures are used extensively throughout this level, and I would like to believe that Id Software would be grateful for any decent free publicity.

Mappers: There are more textures in the .utx than I used in The Pit, to enable mappers to access just one file rather than 3 or 4, however, I would STRONGLY recommend exporting, then importing them into your MyLevel package before applying them to any surface to prevent having to include BarfLung-Q3A.utx with your map - as it's 4 Meg fully zipped!

Architecture: There is a distinct lack of trim architecture in this level - it's deliberate to give a sort of fast Quake II feel when playing - get used to it. (you should be)

Lava kills quicker in this level...

COMING SOON? -- DM-Pit2 -- A rework of this level but using UT textures together with something extra... Specifically for players who want (a) a level that easier on the eyes?! (b) an extra secret, maybe (c) a much shorter download! (d) better flow (e) ?...

Feel free to email me with suggestions. Do it NOW! You haven't much time.

SECRETS & HINTS FOR THIS LEVEL

Opening the level up in UnrealEd will reveal all if you look closely, but if you don't want to do that then read on.

1) Can't get the Damage Amplifier?

Use AntiGrav Boots or the translocator if it's enabled - both WILL get you there.

2) Hidden Powerup!

The ShieldBelt is located in a secret area. 'Nuff said.
