DM-HyperBoreal v1.0 (c)2000 Jeremy "Faceless" Graves

This map is geared for 1v1 or 2v2 teams DM. But can comfortably hold
up to 6 in a FFA while maintaining strategic play, anything above and it
becomes less calculating and more punishing. Not to mention, the FPS will dive
with more players.

Setting:
The map is set in a snowy/icy environment, with a very cold/sharp feeling to it -
offset by subtle amber lighting to offer very little warmth. Sounds eminate from
the pipework, giving off a industrial-tech vibe - offset by the low howling of the
wind, as it resonates the glass seperating you from the storm.

Gameplay/Visuals:
Gameplay, visuals are both paramount in this map - as well as overall
atmosphere. This map has been geared towards the new high-poly ownage
allowances, but certainly is playable on lower-end machines due to some
features in the map to limit high-detail external scenes if you so
desire. It has 3 levels, offering the most choices/advantages to the player who
would seek to remain at the top controlling the powerups which are evenly spaced.

The map contains, ShieldBelt, Udamage, Jumpboots, Thigh-pads, Chestplate.
All strategically placed to balance, and reward those players who take the
time, risk, effort to obtain and dominate them. The only weapon not present in this
map is the Bio-Rifle - I feel it is lacking in strategic elements, and kills the potential
for good gameplay scenarios by being spammed all over the place.

Misc:
Hyper contains some new textures, and some altered UT ones. The map also contains a custom
UMX file courtesy of Ken "Syncan" Post, founder of OMG games. Many thanks to him for his aid on
textures/music. Also thanks to CyberA, Strife, Rich, CliffB, and all others who tested
this map at various stages. ENJOY!

In closing I understand that it may not run well on all computers, and I apologize - I wanted
to try something a little more jazzy for those who could handle it.
