Unless some annoying bug pops up, this is likely to be the final release of
Holy Wars Special Edition for Quake 2. I know that lots of players have long
since moved on to other Quake mods and "bigger and better" games like Half-Life,
Unreal Tournament, and (of course) Quake 3, but I did hear from a few "satisfied
customers" along the way. Your feedback was greatly appreciated, but it's time
for me to move along as well. Please allow me to give some credit where credit
is due on my way out the door...

First, I want to thank Nusco and TaZ. There are certainly more complex and
ambitious Quake mods out there, but Holy Wars has consistently provided me
with more hours of enjoyment than any other. It's particularly well suited
to the small groups of 3-8 players that usually play at the office after
hours. Special thanks go to Nusco for accepting my modest contributions
as an official part of the Holy Wars family.

Next, I can't skip the obligatory nod to the folks at id Software. I first
began programming when I discovered I could "cheat" at certain games on a
TRS-80 [yes, I *am* that old] by modifying their BASIC programs. The free
availability of the Quake source code reminds me of those early days, only
on a much grander and more satisfying scale.

Finally, thanks go to Justin "Bocephus" Patterson, Chris "Stickfigure" Richards,
and Zoran (of Solar Eclipse) for technical assistance and inspiration and to
Jason "Ender" Dawson, Travis "Tigger" Hildebrand, John "Kill Me" Lasater, Matt
"Meat Bag" Lasater, Russell "DangeRuss" Phillips, and Steve "Yomama" Sanderson
for their tireless hours of beta testing.
