How to play
---------------------------
Unzip q3score.zip to a subdirectory of your Quake 3 folder. I recommend "<path to q3>/survivor".
At the command line, run:
quake3.exe +set fs_game survivor

Gameplay is a mutant form of last man standing.  Each player spawns with a limited number of lives, and when they're gone you're bumped to spectator mode.  To prevent people from just hiding until time is nearly over, though, when you bump someone off they drop a soul that you can grab to add one to your lives.  After a while, sudden death mode begins... once it starts, no more lives can be gained.  Play progresses until one player is left or the sudden death timer runs out.

There are a number of new cvars than can be used to change gameplay.  They are:
g_DropSoul: if set to 0, players will not drop souls.  Instead, the killer will automatically be awarded another life.
g_StartScore: the number of lives players start with.  Default of 5
g_SuddenDeathDelay: the time before sudden death mode starts.  Default of 5 minutes
g_SuddenDeathTime: the time sudden death mode lasts.  Default of 5 minutes
If g_SuddenDeathDelay or g_SuddenDeathTime is 0,  sudden death will be disabled

Known bugs
---------------------------
Gets all fubared on map restart from time to time.  Working on it...
Pure server seems to prevent clients from seeing the correct soul model.
Bots get confused in spectator mode - they imitate someone else's score and do
inappropriate chats.  You'll see what I mean.
Sudden Death timer runs server-side and broadcasts too often.
