WEAPONS
--------
Weapon 2 -- BLAST ROCKET
Rocket does maximum of 40 damage (1/3 of normal Quake rocket damage)
but releases a blast wave as powerful as a double strength rocket
the really throws players around.

Weapon 3 -- SUPER BLAST ROCKET
Rocket does maximum of 120 damage (normal Quake rocket damage).
Rocket has the triple strength blast wave.

Weapon 4 -- POISON GAS ROCKET
Rocket inflicts 30-40 damage on a direct hit.  On impact, rocket
releases a cloud of red gas that inflicts 4 damage per frame.
Cloud lasts 2.5 seconds.  The cloud can inflict a maximum of
100 points of damage.  Gas can harm players hiding behind walls,
but it will only inflict 1 damage per frame.  Players wearing
a suit or pentagram are not harmed at all by the gas.  The radius
of the cloud is great; it starts at 200 and expands slowly to 225.

Weapon 5 -- GERM CLOUD ROCKET
Rocket inflicts 30-40 damage on a direct hit.  On impact, rocket
releases a cloud of purple gas that infects a player with a
disease that steadily drains 1 hp per second.  While infected,
the player's screen gains a purplish tint.  Picking up health
or a pentagram cures the player immediately.  The gas has the
same radius of a rocket, and it lasts 1.5 seconds.  Obstacles
will not protect the player, but a suit or pentagram will.
In addition to gas, the rocket also releases six gibs that
inflict 10 points of damage and infect on contact.  The gibs
are drawn toward nearby players.  A suit does not protect
against gibs.

Weapon 6 -- MIND GAS ROCKET
Rocket inflicts 30-40 damage on a direct hit.  On impact, rocket
releases a cloud of purple gas that confuses a player for up to
15 seconds.  During this time, the player's vision will change
colors and angles, which really makes it difficult for the victim
to run in a straight line.  Only a pentagram will cure the player
before the gas wears off.  The gas is blocked by suit or pentagram,
but nothing else!

Weapon 7 -- NAPALM ROCKET
This rocket, which has the explosive power of a normal Quake rocket,
will explode into a fiery cloud on impact.  Anyone within the blast
radius (120) is set on fire.  Anyone set on fire suffers 6-15 damage
per second while the fire is burning.  While burning, the fire can
be spread to others.  The fire is extinguished when the player picks
up health or a pentagram, or if the players dives into deep water
or slime.  (A little puddle of water does NOT suffice!).  The
flaming cloud can rain fire that inflicts extra damage and ignite.

Weapon 8 -- NUKE
Within a 500 radius of ground zero, the nuke inflicts up to 200
points of damage and ignites targets.  In addition, a super poison
gas cloud (radioactive fallout) inflicts 6 damage per frame.
Many flames will rain down from the explosion.

ITEM REPLACEMENTS IN MAD
-------------------------
* Quad damage is replaced by the super coolant powerup.
   Super coolant doubles the firing rate of the rocket
   launcher while it lasts.  It has no effect on the axe.
* All weapons are replaced by large ammo boxes.



MISCELLANEOUS
--------------
* This patch requires Quake v1.08 to ensure nothing can
   crash the game.  On earlier versions of Quake, there
   is a remote possibility that the game can crash
   whenever a nuke is detonated near certain places.
   One such place is the nailgun/crusher room in E1M3.
