The Strogg War - Quarter Beta v0.25
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You need Quake II v 3.20 and the map arma5.bsp !

I think you know how to run a mod (quake2.exe +set game tsw +set basedir x:\quake2).

This is a BETA. So there may be errors, missing features and placeholder graphics. This version
was made to give you an impression what you can expect. Please report all bugs, errors and
 suggestions to me: gpig@berlin.sireco.net

I haven't PAKed the files, because they are smaller this way.

I hate writing readme-files, so this is very short.

You have to set your player-handedness to right or left to see the "building-placement-balls"!

Below you can read how to control TSW. All key-bindigs named are the ones you get when executing
tsw.cfg. The "cmd ..." gives you the function call, if you want to specify your own controls.

Enter "exec tsw.cfg" to get the shown key-bindings.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Point and click interface (mouse) for supervisor-mode:
Click on a unit with the mouse and you have selected it's team. Then click on an empty area
and the group will move there. Double-Click and you will enter 3D-mode and take control
over the leader of the selected group. Click on an enemy unit and they will attack him.

"cmd inven"
Press TAB to bring up the building-construction-sidebar in observer-mode. Navigate through
it like the other	menus. You see the white balls which mark the borders of the new building.
If one of the balls is red, he is in an invalid area for construction. Invalid means:
		- one corner is in a solid
		- one corner is too near / in an other object
		- two corners are intersected (something is between them)
If you have found a valid area, press ENTER ("cmd invuse") and the building will appear.
TAB again or ESC	to exit the menu.
Repress TAB in the building-sidebar to bring up the unit-call-sidebar. Do as you already
	know.

"cmd commprev" + "cmd commnext"
o+p:	selecting the orders for your team, that you control (that you are the leader of in
3d-mode)	or a specified member (the number beforew thr order icon).

		orders in 3D-mode:
				meet
attack target: point at the target and they will attack it
auto attack: point at the target and they attack everything around
it, that's not on their side
go into supervisor-mode: you become supervisor and can move freely
through the level and control all your teams

		order in supervisor-mode:
normal 'look and attack': if there is an enemy, they attack, else they
							meet at the leader
move: the leader moves to the point destination, the team
							follows
attack: the team attacks the pointed enemy
go into 3D-mode:	you take control of the team-leader of the selected
team and influence the action directly

"cmd unitprev" + "cmd unitnext"
k+l:	change the unit/team selection, it's the number before the order symbol
3D-mode: selects a member of your team, you can assign a order seperately
to, no number means whole team
supervisor-mode:	selects a team, you assign the orders to, always only one team

"cmd commapply"
	SPACE:	assign the order

change weapon mode: repress the weapon key to cycle through the modes
access the new weapons: press the 'nextweapon'-key (e.g. /)
activate parachute: jump again, while falling down

the buildings: Landing Plat: needed for unit-calling
Weapons Fact: needed to spawn new weapons and ammo

 I suggest running TSW with a keyboard-mouse-combo. (using tsw.cfg)

The map I suppose is arma5.bsp . You can get this map from the TSW-page
 (www.planetquake.com/stroggwar).
This map is for two-players (red + blue) only. And includes a simple single-player-mission.
To run multi-player, just set "deathmatch 1" and run the map (you may use the multiplayer-menu
as well). The timelimit defines after which time the server will check if the victory-conditions
 (destroy all enemies) are met.
Single player should be run by "New Game" in the main-menu. Then you have to destroy all blue
 units and buildings.
I know it's not much. Sorry about that.

Again, if you have question, bug-reports, suggestions: send me a mail (gpig@berlin.sireco.net).
On the bug-reports: please tell me how to reproducde the error (maybe include some hard-/software
 specs).

 Enjoy,
