-VWep Program for Plugin-Player Models-

1) Crappy IRC Thingy! (AKA What is this thing?)

*** IRC Session started Now! ***

The_JoEker>Hi there.
You>Hey.
The_JoEker>Been playing VWep?
You>Yup.
The_JoEker>Cool huh?
You>A-ha.
The_JoEker>But you love the BodyShop and it's models, right?
You>That is correct.
The_JoEker>Do you ever...
You>Wait! Are you about to ask me how annoying it is when I use VWep on my
server, but other people use unsupported models, which makes them hold
big yellow cubes, or nothing at all in Software mode? Were you? Huh?
The_JoEker>Well, yeah! Yes, I was. It's annoying.
You>Anything to fix it?

Of course there is!

You>Well, tell us, then! Dumbass...
Him>Yeah, you jerk! Waste of bandwidth... get on with it!
Her>Hang on a moment. Refresh my memory. VWep...

VWep is short for Viewable WEaPons. Remember in Classic Quake how you
only ever saw that weird metal gun thing in ol' Skippy's arms?

Her>Yeah.

And in Quake II it's worse! This time you see a Shotgun for the four
id Models! At least you think they do until that tell-tale green ball
comes at you. Dammit! They weren't carrying a Shotgun! That was a
BFG10K!

Her>So?

VWep eliminates this problem. Like Deathmatch Classic's, who also created
the popular PainKeep and WaterVIS patches for Classic Quake, who solved
this problem for the original id Software killer, by allowing you to see
which gun the player you were fighting was holding, VWep allows you to
see clearly what gun they have!

Her>Cool!

Yes! So, now, when someone has a BFG10K, you can see them hefting the
thing around. Now you have an early warning! When you see the massive
gun slung over his shoulder, run! Likewise, when you can see the tiny
form of a simple Blaster in their hands, they pose no threat!

Her>Great! Where can I get it?

VWep, by Hentai, creator of the cool Tsunami for Classic Quake, is available
on his homepage. Go to 'http://www.telefragged.com/tsunami/' and download
the weapons pack, the CrackWhore pack (if you're a Steed fan) and the
server .DLL if you wish to run a game yourself, as I do.

Her>I'm there!

*Her begins downloading VWep*

Him>Get the Hell on with it! South Park's on in a minute!
You>Yeah! Damn you Her! Down with The_JoEker!
The_JoEker>Oh shut up! She asked me!

*The_JoEker shoves the bloody trout down Him's trousers*
*The_JoEker uses the Railgun to remove You's head*

Her>OK. So what does this file of yours do?

Well, when you play on VWep servers using a BodyShop model, and that model
isn't supported, things go wrong. You don't show up with a weapon at
all, or at most a large block of crap that covers the model. Everything
looks fine to you, but to everyone else... well, let's just say the server
op will probably kick you...

Her>How do I make them show their guns?

Use my program! It doesn't show the individual weapons, like the proper
VWep packs do, but it does eliminate the above errors I told you about,
with the big cube surrounding the bounding box!

Using this you see the weapon that was modelled by the model's creator
for all weapons. By using this, the BodyShop server will be able to
support VWep, and have no errors on new models!

Her>How do I use it?

Well, look at the next section. After wracking my brain, I and a few
friends thought up a lot of names for this next section, and eventually
we picked the following one out of a hat:

2) HOW TO USE IT!

Just place the VWep file in the model's directory and run it to create
the files. I didn't actually really do much to make it, it's just simple
DOS Commands, but Hell, I'm the first, right? :)

By doing this, the model is all ready to use until a proper VWepPak(tm)
  comes out!

Example: You want Sumaleth's excellent Morbo to be all fixed up so it
can be used on your flash new VWep LAN without errors.
Method: Extract the VWep file into C:\Quake2\baseq2\players\morbo\', or
whatever your drive and Quake II directories are.
Run the file. It will create the twelve models in a second.
Shut down the VWep thing, move it back into your baseq2 directory,
	   and kill away as Morbo!

3) Crappy IRC bit for a second...

Him>This is crap! I could've done this! You...
You>Yeah! Why not just tell us how to use the bloody thing instead of this
crap IRC thing?
Him>Well said You!
You>Thanks Him!
The_JoEker>Look, I hate to interrupt this little rant of yours, but I have
something to say...

*You was disconnected from IRC server (ping timeout)
*Him was disconnected from IRC server (ping timeout)

The_JoEker>Oh, what a shame... heheheh...
Her>OK, the file's downloaded! Seeya, and thanks!
The_JoEker>Yeah, sure. Good luck, Her!
Them>Yeah! You go girl!
The_JoEker>Who's he?
Her>I dunno. Bye.
The_JoEker>Bye.
Them>Seeya.
