How to use/install:

If these textures are already in Half-Life's WAD format
and that's the game you want to use them in, all the work
is already done. It's then a simple case of putting it in
your half-life/valve directory, and pointing your level
editor to the wad. If they're in TGA format, or you want
to use them in another game, I'd suggest using "Wally" which
is a great texture conversion and editing program.

Description:

This is a set of 16-bit textures which I made for my first
Half-Life level. Because they're 16-bit, they can be used
in any game that supports high color textures. They will not
look very good if you convert them to 8-bit color for use in
Quake/Quake2, or any other game that uses 256 colors. Since
my level is still unfinished, I may release a second texture
pack if anyone finds this useful. There are also a few images
from Quake 2 (the weapons) which I used as pictures on the
monitors in my level, which hopefully they won't mind, since
this is all FREE stuff and you could find screenshots of them
on the Internet anyway.

This has a mix of industrial, dirty, metallic "base" textures
with a slight Japanese influence, and a few more traditional
wood, cloth, and dirt textures. Once the map is done, I may
release it to show the "correct" use of these textures on the
objects they were designed for.

Legal Yakity Yak:

These textures are FREE for use under the following conditions:

- They may be used in a non-commercial (FREE, darn it) project.
- This FREE pack may not be distributed in any way but over the Internet.
- These textures may not be modified. Don't spray your name all over them. ;)
- Projects made with this FREE pack may also not be distributed by CD etc.
- This readme file MUST be included with the pack, or with your project.
- You must give me sufficient credit for the textures. (readme file.)
- Please try to contact me (email) to let me know where this pack is used.

I just like to know where this stuff is being used, so I can see it. But
please don't attach your level to an email.

The rest of the legal mumbo jumbo should be pretty much common sense, and is
really just to prevent the stuff from being distributed on cheap gaming mag
CD's or used in Actura-like scams, and that sort of thing.

Other useful comments about the pack are welcome. If you've seen these textures
distributed without this readme file, or something equally nasty, let me know.
